Something for a diesel engine is getting difficult of find. I started checking on line to see what was in the stores and 4 or 5 didn't have any and none of their stores within 100 miles had any.

I was unable to find Rotella T6 in any stores the last time that I needed some. Finally found a jug in the garage, and it was enough to do my oil change.
They don't have stores in New England, so that is of no value to me what they have or don't have in inventory. I have been in their stores in Michigan and liked them a lot.
If only we knew this was going to happen…

I noticed it was several other things too. Toilet paper cycling in supply along with paper products in general. We usually get dog food at TSC. Several times lately low or out of canned, bags and biscuits. we are trying to stay a little ahead on that now, not hording but not waiting till we need it to get .
Another thing is propane tanks, I heard from my supplier they can be hard to get. What is next tires?

Just yesterday stopped in at the KUBOTA dealership and bought four gallons 15-40 oil and some oil filters. They had lots of both, other oil weights as well. Asked them if they had more in back, they said sure did. Kubota brand.

Did you know that diseased animals not fit for human consumption go into pet foods?
(Mad-Cow diseased animals, spoiled animal “product” (chicken/cow guts etc).
We figured out that a can of dog food and/or dry food is pretty expensive compared to preparing our own.
A ten-pound bag of chicken hind-quarters at our store is $5. A 4 lb bag of frozen vegetables (peas, carrots, potatoes, etc) is $3. A can of pumpkin is 70-cents. A couple sweet potatoes about 50-cents.
Wife boils the chicken until it falls off the bone, then separates-out the bones…. brings the chicken meat/broth back to a low simmer, tosses in the veggies/pumpkin/sweet-potatoes and simmers for a half hour. Lets it cool and puts 4 large ladles of the food into zip-lock bags (makes about 20 bags) and half is frozen, half refrigerated.
Our 95 lb German Shepard LOVES it. It’s human-consumption-quality. Dogs are family members. Commercial dog food is carcinogenic. We figure our daily dog meal costs dropped from $4-$6 to 70-cents for MUCH BETTER quality food! (We do place a few cups of very-high-quality dry food that qualifies for human consumption in her bowl for her midnight snack….which adds about a dollar per serving to the daily cost of feeding our loved FAMILY MEMBER!)

My dad went shopping for oil yesterday. Two of the local auto part stores had no oil for diesels (15W-40W). He went to three tractor supply stores, none there. Walmart was out. He found it at SAMS, but they had a limit on how much you could buy.
You feed your puppy-beasts a bag of chicken butts?
That's like giving homeless people the stump from a muffin after someone has eaten the top.

I deal with Petroleum Service Co for bulk, drum, and eco box oil. Rep says base stock isn’t an issue yet…the additives are sitting in cargo ships off the west coast causing the shortages. He expects this to get worse before it gets better.
I had the same issue a few weeks back. Couldn’t find rotella anywhere near me and i have Stores everywhere. Couldn’t find diesel oil at all. Finally went to a dealer and they only had one gallon jug there and that was it. He said he thinks people are stock piling it because they are worried it’s not going to be available. And people are buying bulk in filters as well
No…they get meat from thighs and drumsticks after they have been de-boned. (I guess instead of posting “hind quarters” I should have posted “leg/thigh-quarters”.)

D2, try Amazon if Walmart does not have it. I bought some from Amazon because all stores were out of it when I looked for it about a month ago.
Curiously, we have no 10w30 available at any local stores. I use that in my Model T for cold weather but I couldn't find even one quart locally. I had to resort to using 15w40 Diesel oil instead. Even the local Jiffy Lube manager told me that 10w30 conventional oil is hard for him to get.
We seem to have enough of the synthetic oils but conventional oils are short.
