I have a new L2501 so Im not sure if it came with UDT2 or Super UDT, but my question is can I top off (mix) the standard (Kubota brand) UDT hydraulic fluid with whatever came in my new unit ?

Well Ive done some more research and I believe my new tractor currently has the Super UDT and it will not hurt to add regular UDT.

It won't hurt it to mix the two, but if you notice it start getting nosier, especially with the dropping temps not be alarmed as it's normal.

I would suggest you stick with SUDT2 on the next fluid change.

If your new tractor is anything like my BX2360, when I did do the first change of hydraulic fluid, it got much quieter.
Like Wolfman said, they can be pretty noisy at first......

They all come prefilled with super UDT2 if in the USA. I do not know how the non USA tractors are done.

Mixing isn't much problem-unless you live in extreme cold climates or extreme hot climates. Then it can cause some noise-and sometimes some weird operation if the temp is extreme enough. RTV's especially-they should never use anything but super UDT2-and especially the RTV500!

Thanks for all the help and replies.
I will add as needed for now.
And then I will use Super when it comes time to change.
