im assuming this is here it went. Where do I start? There's no model number or branding on the pto to try to research the right zerk thx
good thankinIs there a zirk on the other end of the shaft? If so, pull it and most likely its a match for the front end of the shaft.
thanks for reply...didnt even know HF had them...how do they pack so much in that small store..thanks manIf no marking on the PTO probably metric. So go down to your nearest Harbor Freight, buy their metric zerk variety pack and it will probably have the right one in it (thread pitch and style). Some are straight some are angled for better accesss.
It’s all made out of compressed rice-hulls so it doesn’t take up much room.thanks for reply...didnt even know HF had them...how do they pack so much in that small store..thanks man
The ones on my Kubota were M6x0.75mm thread. Bought them on Aliexpress.Just a potential word of warning.
I had to replace a couple of zerks on a RC54 mower deck. Metric would not fit, SAE would not fit. Had to get a couple of Kubota zerks. As I recall, they were like, $2-$3. Each.
Possibly BSPT.Just a potential word of warning.

Paint on ujoint looks original, so you might be in for a parts chase also.
Good Luck.

I took your advice..the brake cleaner def cleaned up some gunk. ThanksJust remember, before you screw in the zirk that fits, you clean out as much of any old lube and dirt that is in the hole before pumping in any more grease. For me, if I was in this situation a blast of brake cleaner in the hole to clean out any old grease with grit in it would be my first priority. Good luck.
