I have and use the same lift that Daren Todd showed in Reply #15. I bought it after my back yard neighbor's mower fell and killed him while changing blades. He was not strong enough to lift it off and his Son found him.

YES, you plan in #32 is GREAT. similar to what i do. I get riders as vertical as possible,sit in office chair to COMFORTABLY 'do the deed'.
Having a 'safety' hookup is a good idea !

The ones I have are hydraulic operated with safety catches every so often. I figure that they were discontinued due to lack of sales as the price is kinda high. Better picture here View attachment 135265
