WE NEED A COUPLE OF THOSE! ;)
I have a couple of pups that need tails!
One Wolf and one Husky.
I have one and a friend has one.

Wolf lost her tail from former owner putting her on a chain, and the husky had to have her tail amputated due to nerve damage. :(

I know we've been getting some strange weather patterns this year. But the weather here has been down right bizarre  last weekend we had a storm come through. And at 26°f it was pouring down rain. Today I looked out side and it's snowing to beat the band. Checked the two thermometers for the house and it's currently 38°f. Thinking that can't be right I started both the vehicles and checked them. Reading 38°. Seems like it would be too warm for snow

The only thing to do was stay inside and look out the window.

That is just to darn funny :D:D. We have a squirrel that nests out back in one of the oaks. He toss's half eaten Apple's at my dachshund  I keep expecting to get home from work and find the dog knocked out cold :D

Was -37 this morning. With the wind it was insane to be outside. Trying to move a dead truck into shop was brutal. At least it backed out under its own power.

We have a chipmunk that torments our lab all summer. Have to be careful as chippy is a little tame , fury will not give a second thought to doing away with her.

I can deal with the cold, and we've got another week of subzero temps coming up, but I really hate having to chip the manure and bedding out of the carts to dump them into the loader bucket. :(

One of my wife's favorite shows is "Gold Rush."

Shot in AK, these guys are racing the end of the season and the chilly nights have started freezing their equipment. We are talking 15-20 degrees. Nothing like what you folks are dealing with. They work in heated cabs most of the time.

Stay safe. Only another month and it should be breaking toward warmer days...

That said, I asked a van driver after a summer overnight in Minneapolis when the snows start up again. His answer? "Late September!!!"

When I was a kid, we had two seasons - winter and Independence Day. And it ALWAYS rained on the 4th!

Very interesting piece on the solar cycles (Maunder minimum/maximum)...

I am not sure how reliably they can forecast Maunder changes but, I believe we are over due for a cooling period. It would seem that less greenhouse gas emissions would only speed this cooling trend. Looks like we need to generate MORE greenhouse gasses to try and keep our planet warmer. But noOOooo!
