Hello,

I was looking over my L2501 HST yesterday and noticed a leak coming from the fuel filter on the Right Side (when in the drivers seat looking forward). A steady drip falls off the filter every 10 seconds or so.

I examined the clear cup as much as possible. There are no cracks that I can see. I cannot seem to find a fuel cutoff valve anywhere and I have about a half tank of fuel in the tank and do not want to remove the cup to check the seal without the fuel shut off. Where is the cutoff valve located?

Has anyone else ran into this issue/what fixed it?

There is a shut off valve in the filter housing itself, as you unscrew the filter cup and the filter drops down the valve will close. I had a leak on mine similar cause by a branch catching the cup, it cocked it on the threads a bit, unscrewed the cup and reinstalled it and no more leak. Hopefully yours is as easy!

Ok it is built in. I will take a look at it tomorrow when it is light out and hopefully it is that easy of a fix.
Thanks for your help!

I looked into this last night. I unscrewed the filter and the valve worked as you stated (too bad it only fully closes after the filter is fully removed lost like a quart of diesel on my driveway). The O-Ring looked ok so I screwed it back on and the leak was magically gone. Thanks for your help!
