I bought a L4060le and it should be getting delivered in a few weeks because the front end loader was on backorder. Question is I plan to get a tiller. Landpride is $3700 but I can get a county line from TSC for $2500. I do t have any experience with tillers so I am curious if the cost difference for landpride is worth it?

Look at the Rural King if you have one near you. They have King Kutter tillers branded Rural King. I bought my 60" tiller there and can't complain. Rural King has some competitive prices.
I have the county line 5 ft from TSC. For my limited uses, its been fine for me. I like that its able to be switched from forward to reverse rotation.
Take a look at Everything Attachments, I run the following on my L3901, it's had several years of use and I'm really happy with it. It's a few hundred dollars more than TSC but far cheaper than the Land Pride.
Honestly, I would think any available one would be like gold at this point. There is no inventory anywhere on any popular implements in my area. Local Kubota dealer has a few rotary cutters and thats about it. Local TSC has basically nothing in stock right now. I like and recommend Woods atachments myself. Have a 60" tiller I bought earlier this year, very well built and a lot less than the Land Pride was. Weight was significantly higher on the Woods of comparable models. Bottom line, if you can find one in stock, get it. They are hard to come by.

As CJH points out, don't matter what they 'offer' ,it's what's IN STOCK NOW, that matters.
As long as you're not tilling 100 acres,providing the ground's been plowed up once or twice, ANY new 60" tiller will outlive you,providing you grease it couple times a season.
I bought as used 145cm tiller (Italian) for less than $2K, 5-6 years ago,very lightly used,does a great job, so maybe ? there's a used one nearby ??
Tiller is like a subsoiler...a LIFETIME investment. Most only buy ONE.

Consider Befco as well. I don't know how they compare on price or availability, but I have one that my uncle purchased used in 1995, so it's at least 26 years old. Still ticking. Tough little beast.
I have a 6 footer from TSC and it has been good with no problems. My only complaint is it does not go very deep, even with the shoes raised up. And it looks no different than any other brand I looked at. I would not hesitate to buy it again.
I have a County Line brush hog style mower that has served me well over the last 8 years. I would consider it light duty and it gets maybe 20 hours a year of use. I would not use the words "High Quality" when describing their offerings but rather "Good Enough". Probably made in China by children.

TSC equipment is built for TSC by Tarter Gate.
Tarter Gate is a low price manufacturer.
King Kutter makes solid stuff, and is sold by RK, and many others (14 week wait).
Landpride is at the top of the heap in quality.
If you can afford $3,700 for an occasional use tiller, buy the Landpride.
I own a 60" King Kutter tiller, and I would buy it again!
The 60" KK is currently being sold at RK for $1845 + tax.

I was struggling with the decision between the Landpride and TSC. I noticed the land pride had fewer tines and less weight which drove me to the less expensive TSC. No regrets as it does what I ask of it and after two seasons really does not look like it has been used that much. Well worth it in my book.

We bought a new King Kutter for our 1/4 acre garden in 2005. It worked without any problems for ten years till we decied to stop gardening. I kept it pressure washed and lubed after each use. If we were to garden again I uould probably get another King Kutter.
I have the King Kutter. I haven't used it much (I've had it less than a year), but it seems solid. I agree, for a small garden you probably won't wear out either one.
I Bought a LandPride RTR1258 tiller to put in 2+ acres of lawn this fall and for future garden use annually. Very happy with the performance in my heavy clay topsoil and liked the warranty on the gear box and the chain drive. Sales guy at my Kubota Dealer said they don't see people wearing out the LP tillers. I was just pleased they had one in stock! I would buy it again. I have some TS equipment (Spreader) and Titian Attachments Landscape Rake, both are low frequency use items. The LP is quick hitch comparable too, always nice when swapping 3 point attachments.
If your near northern Indiana, I may have a used tiller for you plus other attachments due to a recent family members death.

Chain tensioner mod on Land Pride Tiller
I could not keep the chain tight. You have a pivot with a jamb nut that you tighten to 400 ft. lbs. There is a 1/2" diameter rod that goes against the chain. I tighten the nut up with a 8' pipe on the wrench. I had a friend machine a spacer for the idler sprocket. Part #23 is the rod that...

Have a 72” County line that I work like a rented mule and it’s been a solid piece of equipment. Don’t think you’ll be disappointed if you get one of those.

I have literally worn out a cheap tiller (frontier).
I grenaded the gearbox on my 20yr old LP this spring and although it was a 800.00 part, it was sitting on the shelf in stock. For me, there is a lot to be said for parts availability.
We grow them big up here. The last food plot I did had 4 buckets like this in it.
