L3901 Wheels

I just took delivery of a new L3901HST with R14’s.

My rear wheels have a steel welded-in valve stem guard and metal valve stems. The front wheels have no guards and plastic stems.

Is this normal? How can I protect the front stems?

My L2501 is made the same way. I wish the front wheels also had the guard. I guess you could make a guard yourself out of a piece of pipe and weld it into place. Then replace the valve.

For what it’s worth, and as a first time tractor owner, these R14’s are absolutely incredible.

I backed into my creek to pull a log and had had all four tires in mud into the rim w/ all four tires spinning. Unchained the log, throttled up a little, and the tractor pulled right up and out.

I’m a happy camper!
