I finally remembered to check the oil level. It is ~3/4" below the check plug. Owners Manual states that it should run out of check plug.
Owners Manual states to fill with Super UDT-2 or 80 - 90 wt gear oil. I am assuming it came with Super UDT-2 from the factory, right? It's probably not good to mix the oils.

I have gear oil in my B and my Dads L. I was told by the dealer they came factory with udt/sudt², but they fill them with gear oil when they service them. Pick whatever you'd like and run with it.

Pick which ever you like, but I wouldn't mix. If you drain it doesn't matter. If your adding I'd go with the factory fill. Most likely udt-2. That's my opinion, worth every penny you paid for it.

If it was not ok to mix them, it would be clearly stated as such in the manual.

75-140 in mine, no reason other then the price was right.

don’t think the gears or bearings care much as long as they are wet.

You are correct. On my new MX, I asked the dealers service manager that question. He said they come with SUDT and if adding, use the same. If draining completely, either SUDT or gear oil are suitable, but don’t mix them.

The factory fill is SUDT2 from the factory and that is what should be added to top it off. You absolutely do not add 80/90 to the SUDT2.
When you change the oil, you can refill with either one, just do not mix them.

Thanks for all the responses. I will top it off with Super UDT-2 for now. The tractor has about 100 hrs on it.
