It almost looks like a pre filter...because 1 is the diesel filter and to the left of your arrows is the water catchment.

Well, thank you for taking the time to educate me. I have not seen the wires while going over the actual part but I have not taken it apart.

I replaced the fuel separator and the fuel filter. I had an algae problem, but after replacing it never starts, while turning over. I will take it apart and try cleaning. hopefully it does not need replacing.

Thank you again.

Turn key on, does it thump, thump, thump like it is pumping fuel? If so, it’s probably fine. Did you bleed fuel system after changing the filter?

that pump could be full of algae. see if you can clean it, bench test with fresh fuel, you should get good pulses of diesel.
I've used these...
as 'transfer' pumps in the past and ran a 30HP forklift for several years.
Might be worth the $10 CDN, if only to prove you may not need the $200 pump.

I found a replacement pump on Amazon for $15. Holdwell brand IIRC. Had to drill one of the mount holes a little bigger for my application, but works fine. Key on and "tick-tick-tick".

I have followed the instructions. I did not see any diesel come out the bleed vent like I expected.
Remove filter and see if you have fuel in filter. If not pump may be bad. If so, bleed system again until fuel is coming out bleeder.

I disconnected pump from the tractor body and removed the discharge hose. I can feel the pump trying to run in my hand, vibrations. No diesel discharge.

I took off the intake hose and diesels flows freely from the water separator to the pump.

I could not blow air through the pump forward or backwards.

Sounds like you need a pump. It should be a distinct and audible thump, thump, thump… while pumping.

If you would help me with something stupid, I bought the fuel lift pump but cannot figure out how the electrical connector comes apart.
Can you post a clear picture or two of the connector? Could be a push button to release or you may have to pry a tab up to separate them.
