L3400 front end loader Hydraulic issues

L3400 having trouble with the front end loader. It will only lift when the stick is pulled about half way back if pulled all the way back it doesn't move at all. When lowering bucket it will only lower in float position all the way forward. Bucket tilt works ok.I can not apply any down pressure with the bucket. Any ideas ? Fluid level is good, tractor also has a back hoe attached the back hoe seems slow but has good down pressure.

Problem description sounds like one of two directions.

A. Valve body issue, swapped hoses, quick connect clogged/partially clipped on, etc.
B. Hydraulic issue dead headed relating to backhoe or 3 point lift arms.


Make sure your 3 point lift lever isn't in the "full up" position.

When were your filters and fluids last changed? Longer interval could mean particles or issues caused by dirty fluid.

Hydraulic fluid and filter are changed once a year since I have owned it.I will change it this weekend and check the other things that you mentioned. Thanks.

Make sure your 3 point lift lever isn't in the "full up" position.

Saw your reply on this post, having similar issue on my BX1800. Jiggled the 3 point lift lever and fixed it. Love quick fixes. Thanks!

You might have a sticky valve in the control module...

Sounds like you have hoses swapped.
Most likely the 2 lift hoses.

Has the FEL been removed and replaced recently?
