Thanks Mike. I’ve come through a second winter with the turbo conversion on my B2650, and while it’s doing well, I think I’m leaving some horsepower on the table. This year I am planning to experiment with tuning.

This is cool that your kits are starting to find there way into other machines. It adds to the growing database of knowledge that had been lacking for a long time.

You’re welcome.

What we’ve found, is that there isn’t a particular fuel setting that will work to maximize power and performance on every tractor. We believe this is mainly because of the varying tolerances of the injection pumps themselves and the injection pump installation at the factory (some have shim(s) and some don’t), in addition to possible modifications made by the tractor owner prior to the Turbo Kit installation. Moreover, elevation plays a crucial role in determining fuel settings as well. Each setup is different.

We still have customers operating their Turbocharged tractors on factory fuel settings and ones that are turning up the fuel as much as possible to achieve maximum performance.

I’m sure you’ll find that perfect setting with additional experimentation. The key is to monitor your EGT’s and make sure you’re operating safely.

Yup, I kinda figured there’s no one magic fuel setting for all tractors. The trick on mine is finding the fuel adjustment screw, as it is not in the same place as the 2501. That will be this year’s project before the snow flies again in fall.

Mike,
Absolutely phenomenal write up, follow up & results. Very, very cool to see that these kits are out there and performing as designed.
I just purchased a new LX2620 this month and have already been making modifications, deletions, additions and changes. The thought of eventually adding one of your kits (should you find yourself developing one for this model) is quite intriguing.

Hi AOW162435:

Mike has been very successful with his turbo kits and are an excellent product. Two years ago he was also instrumental in guiding me through my own turbo modification on my B2650, which coincidentally, uses the same engine as your new machine (D1305-E4).

If you’re interested, you can follow the project at the following link:

Thank you!

Yes, the Turbo Kits are performing exceptionally well for tractor owners looking for additional performance for their specific operating needs.

We will be looking at developing a Turbo Kits for the LX2610 / LX2620. My inbox has plenty of requests. Right now we are focusing on the L2502, Kioti CK2610 / CK2620 (Bobcat CT2025), and L3240.
That said, if anyone wants a Turbo Kit developed for their tractor and can get that tractor to us (WA or CA) we can get a Turbo Kit going assuming scheduling is available. But, we’ll need your tractor for a week or two during peak operating season (June / July / August) because that’s our non-busy time and for those L2501 guys still on the Turbo Kit waitlist, the best opportunity to get a Turbo Kit quickly.
