7 hr old L2501... just took the backhoe off and put 3 point hitch arms, etc on for the first time.
The hitch wont lift. It will lower no problem. All other hydraulics work, backhoe did, front bucket works, so assuming its not hydraulics. Im feeling this is something very basic I'm overlooking.

Obviously its under warranty but before i drag it down to the dealer, i thought maybe someone might have an idea of what it might be. Not looking for a deep problem because the dealer will get it for that, im looking for something i forgot to do. I have confirmed that the hardware is on correctly. Is there possibly a safety shutoff that prevents it from lifting when a backhoe is installed?

Thank you
J

I found this thread which sounds exactly the same issue.

If i swap those connections, does the hydraulic need to be bled afterwards? I dont mind fixing things but since its under warranty i dont want to make things worse.

I don't have a backhoe but wonder if there's some kind of diverter or valve to apply flow to the backhoe while diverting it from the three point? The dealer who set it up may be able to respond to your problem with a phone call instead of a trip into town. Hydraulic systems on tractors don't commonly need to be bled, the air will be pumped through the system and out during normal operation.

assuming you connected the backhoe loop when you removed it, make sure the hose is fully seated in the quick connect. Post pics of the hoses from the loader valve and at the block under the right floorboard.

I did not connect the backhoe loop together. I didnt think that was needed(assumed the 3 pt hitch hydraulics were internal). Ill do that and take a pictures of the connections as requested.

The loop at the back of the tractor needs to be made when removing the back hoe. That’s what feeds the 3pt

Well son of a B... it was the lack of reconnecting the BH lines. Thank you for asking the dumb question!!

45 minutes to problem solved. Thank you. I appreciate it.

That was my next thought looking at that loop.

Does anyone make a simple manifold that allows them to lay beside each other instead of a wide loop?

I just did as a few other members here did and added a 45 degree adapter at the hose end (new hose is also about 6 inches longer).
