In theory it should all bolt up. Tractor engines "drop in" like a watch drops into a new watch band. Everything bolts to it until you have a tractor again. Don't part with any of your old one until the job is done. Several bottom and front parts may be needed for the conversion.

Oil pan is different but you can swap across. Few other small things from what I've read.

If you mean L245F (2wd) engine in place of a L245DT (4wd) it looks like they both take all the same parts. ;)
But as rbargeron suggested, I would keep the old motor and parts till install is done.

It will work, you just have to swap the oil pans. The L245DT has a place for the front drive line to pass through and bolts up to the front axle. I have done it if you have any questions.

I have a L245dt and am looking for a newer motor that I can use instead of the dh1101-a, Any suggestions?

None of the newer engines will just bolt up, not even with a little tweaking.
And when I say newer, I mean one version newer.

There is 1 tractor that used the D1101, a L2201 (grey market).
There might or might not have been other equipment that used that engine, but it's hard to tell.

Good thing is all the rebuild parts for the D1101 are still available.
So you could rebuild yours.

It is completely rebuilt and also parts machined by a reputable shop. Very frustrated at this point. It just sits there. Every time It wants to siphon fluid from the block and put it in the oil.
