Yes, you can take it apart and fix whatever is wrong with the piston, rings and cylinder seal. seeing your tractor is a Zen-Oh , I wouldn't believe the hourmeter reading at all! I'd bet it has many more hours than 100! We just had one of those through our shop this week (l2000dt) which was only showing 115 hrs and was sold to the customer as being true hours. Oh Yea! maybe 4000 hrs but not 115! amazing how "new" they can look with a new coat of RED ?? paint, new tires and a new seat. It's "buyer aware" when you buy a used tractor and especially if it is a grey market one. They ARE good tractors, but make sure you're not getting a "painted up old dandy". Had another experiance with a Zen-Oh last winter which was a Yanmar. Customer brought it in banging away, we found it had a broken rocker shaft and was blowing water from the cooling system. When I took it apart I found the block warped about 1 mm. How could the gasket seal on that? we had the customer take it back to the dealer who sold it to him. it was supposed to be "about 2 years old" as well and had really low hours. Both these tractors came from the same crooked dealer in Saskatchewan. I'm not saying don't buy grey, just be extra vigilant when any used tractor is all painted up fresh looks to good to be true!
