This is the area I'm interested in. It may just be a wet spot.

Edit: nevermind, 3074 is what I was interested in, looks ok.
Yes, it rained this morning.
I took several pictures before reading the post—there can never be too many photos for future reference.
I captured various angles for you to see.

Yes, I think what looked odd about it at first was just some water sitting in it.

As for the new/used parts, I would not be overly concerned. If they rebuilt the spindle, then the outer casing part would be old with new internals like shaft and bearings. It would not be unheard of the reuse the old spindle pulley either.

I can't recall what you said the original agreement was, and if they charged you for a new pulley specifically, then yes, a dispute may be in order. But review your bill carefully to see exactly what was charged.

You are right. I thought it was supposed to be a new pulley, bolt, and washer, but it turned out to be used parts, including four bolts, yet they charged me as if they were new. I believe they billed $10 for the bolt and $5 for the washer, similar to before, with the total coming to $36x.xx. I removed the bill from the bag that had the old shaft and belt, and if I can’t find it, I’ll have to ask them to email it to me. Should I dispute the charges or also file a complaint with the BBB and Attorney General? This might damage my relationship with them, but they should be honest when using old parts while charging new part prices. The only new thing is "One Blade"

What else is there besides what I discovered above?
I think there was a misunderstanding somewhere. I posted in post 120 that a complete new spindle cost over $600, and that didn't include labor or pulley, as I recall. So, if it is repaired correctly, and it appears it is, for $300-400 I think you came out well.

After you've run it some you may want to retighten the nuts on top and bottom. Remember, the ones on the left are left-hand thread.

Here are close-up shots of the cracks: three photos of the bottom sides and two of the top side, which is a bit tricky to capture.
If it was me and I saw those cracks on my deck, I would get them welded by a professional welder before putting the deck back on. I think if you leave them as is, they will cause more trouble in the future.

I am assuming the cracks are near some support or pulley that will continue and eventually rip out of the deck.

But the deck looks good otherwise.

Sorry, I was so busy with many things, I think I might have found the receipt. I will take the picture or scan it tomorrow.

Here is the receipt from Kubota.
They charged me $35.80 for the belt but refunded me $31.25 when I brought it back.
So they charged me $70.73 for the pre-owned shaft & $195 for labor.

@Pat_USA I looked at the invoice, and to me all looks pretty good. Not cheap but all in all I think you came out okay.

So are you ready to reinstall the deck or are you planning to take it to a welder to repair the cracks?

I don't know yet because I have so many things to do.
Will JB Weld help in this case?

My biggest problem, which I have been encountering for over 20 years, is that the police do not believe me and refuse to take any action, even when I offered to pay for the DNA test and cover all expenses. If I lied to them, they could arrest me—that was my challenge to the police.

Now I have realized that my water bills have been sabotaged for many years, so I have been overpaying for the bills, which also affects my sewer bills. I live alone and do not use that much water. Some billing statements are missing, and I have never thrown away my bills or any documents. The water company can only send me records from November 2024, which is fine. From the records I do have, I know I used less than 20 gallons per day—possibly even less than that—but I would accept 20 gallons based on the old records. I never looked at the details of my billing until this past Saturday and Sunday.

I mentioned before that I have a serious theft problem, which most people do not believe. I understand that my stories seem unrealistic, but I know they are real. I will show you how the billing reflects high usage, especially in February and March 2026, when everybody knew it would affect the sewer bills. I plan to file a police report tomorrow and see what happens. Will they believe me, or will they treat the theft reports as just incident reports like they always do? How could I have used 68, 139, 103, 87, 68, and 64 gallons per day? I don't know how they (the thieves) did it.

As I mentioned, my alarms never go off. I have over 30 cameras, and I have never caught them on tape. I have a system that records 24/7, and I have also tried trail cameras and hidden cameras. I have never caught them on tape, and the police would not do anything. That's why I am offering a BIG REWARD (talk to me privately) if someone can help me catch the thieves so I know who they are.

What did I do with water from January to March, and why did the volume decrease when the weather got nicer? Does that make sense? I had breast cancer surgery on June 1, 2026, so I didn't even do any gardening this year. Whatever grew by itself, I let nature take care of it. I watered my fruit trees, which I started last year, only a few times when the weather was extremely hot because it's the second year, so I don't really need to water them. It rained earlier this year & they all still survived.

I intended to build a barrier from scrap lumber as posts and attach metal wire with 1.5-inch staples (kind of my priority). I have a big yard, so I can adopt a guard dog to run and play in the backyard. If my belongings are still missing or if they can still sabotage my things, it means they are either invisible or have some sort of black magic. That is my conclusion. I have started seeing a psychiatrist so they can evaluate me to confirm that I don't have any mental problems, dementia, delusions, etc., so I can file a complaint at a higher level and get help to put the thieves in jail. Believe me, the thieves know my house and my belongings better than I do.

A guy who used to work for me over 20 years ago, with whom I had problems at the end, was the person who sent the thieves to my house, but he died in 2019, so I assume he died from COVID.

Please look at the usage in my water bill records.
What do you think? Would you believe me if I said I didn’t use all those high volumes?
Do you think the police will believe me?
I'm waiting for the missing bills from the water company so I can update the usage.
