New for model year 2023. It supposedly replaces the L4701. Anyhone have any info on it? And dealer "insiders" here that can let me know when they will be available? Any and all details would be greatly appreciated.

Posting title is:.....Kubota L4802.

The OP post references the Kubota l4802.
Neil, makes No reference at 9:40 or elsewhere, to an L4802 in the video!
well as the op asks about the 4701 being replaced by a new model, and the video had information on the “L4702” which is the updated L4701, I thought that this video would answer the question. You are correct that there isn’t any mention of the elusive L4802. My apologies. .

Yes, he must mean 47XX, because I can find no info on a 48XX.

Tractor data shows last L48 was built in 2009
There has never been an L4801, so I highly doubt that there will ever be an L4802.

The L series has been rolling to 02 for a while. The middle models changed last year, the 25 and 47 this year. Minor changes I'd expect, mostly brakes on the left and therefore an electrically activated PTO.

"I guess there will is a L4820 after all?"

Well not quite?
Maybe an L4802, ......but likely not an "L4820".

I wonder why they upgraded the 47HP to 48HP, and then changed to an L4802 designation for 2023?
My 2006 L48 (last built in 2009) is 48 HP!

I like the L4802 new model designation!
Makes my L48 seem more current, for a new model to simply add an 02 designator!
Wonder if they changed the hoe reach of 10' for the L47, to the 11' reach of the L48?

I just don't want to run out and buy a 4701, just for an upgraded model to come out a month later.
I know whatcha mean. I’ll say I’m happy with my L4701. Nothing about it bothers me me to the point I really wish it were different.

- Brake pedals are on left.
- Grill guard was lacking in my opinion, I added an aftermarket one for a few hundred bucks.
- Lights kinda stink, but brighter wouldn’t be better in my opinion as being behind bucket is almost useless. I added aftermarket lights on ROPS for a couple hundred bucks.
- Rubber may may be nice. I also wonder if it would hold moisture under it and lead to rusting faster. I imagine they are also available after market.
- I did add a kubota grab handle on the right fender. That was less than a hundred bucks and really easy.

If I were shopping now I don’t think I’d hesitate to buy a current L4701 (again).

Ok. Went to my local Kubota dealer yesterday. There IS such a thing as a L4802. Confirmed by dealer. It does replace the L4701, with all the same upgrades as the recent 3302 and 3902, plus a micro increase in HP. They will be available to buy / order around April. My dealer has my full requested specs, and will contact me when they are ready to order.

2023 L4802 HST 4x4
cruise control
front loader with quick attach coupling
dirt bucket
pallet forks
R14 tire upgrade
6' Land Pride rotary cutter
Upgraded sway bars on 3 point hitch
1 set rear remotes
3rd function kit
deluxe fiberglass canopy
