How often does Kubota offer 0% and offer discounts on implements? Is this a rare thing or something they do several times a year?

I have never seen zero percent on attachments or implements ALONE.

My experience is that when incorporated w/ a new tractor purchase, kubota extends the financing to include those items.

When I purchased my MX in 2011, terms were no money down, and no penalty for selecting the 0% , but term was limited to 60 months MAX.

Today the 20% down is standard, and the baked in fee to utilize the 0% can be up to $1000., dependent upon length of loan.

But in general do they offer 0% on tractors throughout the year or is this like once a year offering?

There is my thread from back in May, when they were offering 0%. Now whether what you are seeing now, is a continuation from back then, or a "new deal", i do not know. But i'd think it's safe to say it happens often enough. They might spread the offer to only certain models, and not across their entire lineup every time.

My dealer always has the 0 apr for 24 months for implements. He mentioned it to me when I was trying to figure out which implements to get for the initial purchase. I believe you still have to put down 20% to lock it in.

Kubota has been offering 0% financing for years. I bought with 0% back in 2013.

While Kubota has been offering the 0% for a long time, it is NO Guarantee that it will continue forever. If look at what most financing is doing now, you will see that interest rates are starting to creep up. Most of the 0% automotive deals are slowly disappearing so I would suspect that it will start to carry over into other industries.

Financing interest rates offered by manufacturers are a function of borrowing costs, e.g., prime rate, etc., and economic conditions.

Kubota and many other manufacturers have long offered 0% financing recently but interest rates are rising and I expect such financing rates will soon be a thing of the past.

AS others have said....it has been around a long time...and will be around longer too.

Much like car dealers......they raise the price of the car a bit, charge 1.9% or .9% and still make their money, Kubota is much like the rest. THEY will always get their money.....

HOWEVER - the gravy train might end, and it might mean they want something down......LOOK at the 7 year loan...they want 20% down to get that.....

HERE is how I see it - most do NOT have 20K to plop down on a new machine.....some of us do, I do not - but IF you are going to only knock off a few hundred dollars for the cash sale....it is WELL worth it to BORROW their money over say 5 years and pay ZERO interest over those 60 months....

THE amount is the same every month....and there is NO reason to pay it off early!!!!

THE big sales pitch is "It allows us poor people to get something we need (want) and have a way to pay for it without breaking the bank! AND feel good about paying for it!:D:D;)

What does a kubota credit contract say about a late payment ?

I would assume Kubota is banking on trigger rate change ?
Thats a dayum good question....

I made the first payment via ol snail mail......then set up for autodraft.......it was nice, they sent an email about a week before the payment was due, and then it was taken out. No problems! I think there is a % fee IF you are late.....like maybe 10% or so......

hell I got $4.32 cents back at the end, BECAUSE they screwed up......:D:D:eek:

I believe that it does trigger a rate change, and it's not a very nice rate either...

There is no such thing as 0% financing. The rate is baked into the price at some level. Most equipment manufacturers offer it because people think they are getting a deal. I sold heavy construction equipment for several years and saw it 1st hand.

Can you get the Kubota 0% finance without purchasing comprehensive insurance through Kubota?

I was thinking, that's how they "get the money".

What has a front, Has a back.

Don’t know if it would change or not but I set my auto pay up b4 first payment was due. Set it up to draft outta checking a few days b4 it was due to cover my rear in case it didn’t start at first payment like some I’d heard of. All went well and I don’t gotta worry bout writing a check every month for it or forgetting to do it. I did the 20 percent 7 year deal on mine. Was easier than buying a car to me. Signed paperwork on it in my yard at delivery.

No. It does not have to be KTAC insurance. But it has to be insured I believe.

Another thing to consider is kubotas promotion to save $500 on a purchase of two implements when buying a tractor. On top of any other deals. Remember, the FEL is an implement.

Check the website for their current promotions. After negotiating my best deal on a tractor w loader and bush hog, I mentioned the promo and got an extra $500 off
