Greeeaaaat…..🙄

JD battery plant in Kernersville. Toyota battery plant in rural Randolph County. McMansion’s popping up like toadstools encircling our little patch of trees and meadows. Sometimes I think we should find a place where the bears outnumber the people, move there, and let the developers have this place. 🫤
Oh
You want to be outnumbered by Bears ?
I know the state you can move too !

Theres a lot of home-brew economists weigh-ing in here…with zero understanding of the realities of the stock market or corporate finance.

Most who come here are not Mexican.…they come from further south.

Workers (including Union members) at large corporations are more important than CEOs, Officers, and to a degree, some stock investors. Workers are citizens. Real People. Corporations are artificial ”people”. Thos Jefferson had it right.

I agree the gov’t should restrain itself from bailing out large corp’s and banks…. but if they DO…then there should be a change of management…and the entity ownership should be transferred to the employees unless the corp/bank can negotiate a pay-back plan.
Governments need to stop providing welfare and bailouts for corporations. Period.

Our government is giving billions away to Stellantis, VW and Honda to promote EV's. Nough said

Just wondering, how many of you have a compact tract loader or skid steer loader of any brand much less a JD?

wow... your funny...apologizing to the guy for giving him the finger but not for calling me greedy, the killer of American manufacturing, etc...

My skin is thick, I am sure not going to let guys like you bother me.

I guess skin is thick due to fact i wore out more coveralls than a person can count in a lifetime and cleaned out enough stuff out from under my finger nails to fill an olympic sized swimming pool. It was a lifetime working in all forms of agriculture (like my father used to tell us we work sun up to sunset to make a living for our families).

I still remember the days when a good man would work hard to harvest 6 bushels of wheat a day!! and still need to attend to the homestead and family now that was hard work / hardly greed!!

I now be too old to work but am not ashamed that I worked hard enough and saved enough to buy a few shares in a company like Deere yet according to you I am:

- GREEDY
- the cause of the demise of American manufacturing and
- that I make things all about ME.

so be it... nice to be blamed for the demise of American manufacturing. Still not going to add that to my obit though.

My skin is thick and attacks from guys like you mean little knowing the life I led and what I was able to give to my family. My conscious is clean.
6 bushels of wheat a day? With hand tools??!!

they's a lot of reasons for layoffs

locally there has been a cutback on workforce at certain places and every one of the laid off employees was not pulling their own weight. "Dead weight" as some may say. They're there for a paycheck, contributing little to the business. The government is FULL of those types and I mean full. I was working part-time at the capital of this state and saw a lot of them-including two ladies who should be in prison. One is, the other ran for President a couple times. I worked alongside them for 7 months or so. Honestly I'm surprised I'm not dead yet too, like some others who've come up missing.
