Yep.A welder should be able to weld that broken ear. Drill a new hole and reinstall.
piece of cake. I've seen a LOT worse fixed.

Back in '08 I bought a Wrangler with a blown engine and replaced it with a salvage yard engine from a yard near Cabela's. The guy told me it was from a Pontiac. I changed the distributor and flywheel because the Pontiac distributor had a different number of wires.OK I have to figure how to get the pictures on here, they are too large,, I dont know how to make them smaller
BUt there is a number in the casting 10005275 dont know if that means anything, and I may be wrong ,I am thinking this is a Pontiac 4 cylinder
You made me chuckle. Before retiring in 2021 I thought anyone who didn't have a full time job had all sorts of free time. Retirement brought visions of lots of projects, helping others, doing stuff at the church and still being bored sometimes. That's not far off, but there isn't much boredom.Glad she found one.
If it were me, I would have made one from billet aluminum by now.
Not that I'm volunteering for anything!
Hell, I can't find time to make my own stuff these days.![]()

Gongrats and Sweet Pea is lucky to have you!You made me chuckle. Before retiring in 2021 I thought anyone who didn't have a full time job had all sorts of free time. My reality - A year before retiring we became "temporary emergency kinship foster parents" or some such term. The kinship part denotes that her grandfather and I are related - although he's not seen her at all as far as I know. We were unexpectedly handed a cute chubby 10-month old girl along with one "stuffy" and a grocery store plastic bag of clothes. We were to look after her for 3-6 months and figured that in a perfect world we'd end up being an extra Grandma and Grandpa. Yeah right
Well, it wasn't a perfect world. Long story but we're now the happy parents of a bright, active and pretty 6 year old. We were even issued a new birth certificate listing us as the birth parents. She now has lots of love, guidance, good food, nice clothing and a bunch of stuffies. Her brothers are 49, 44 and 41 and she's younger than her nephew and nieces. With Sweet Pea starting full day kindergarten this year things have loosened up a little.
