Is Air ride seat worth $915 on MX6000

I asked the dealer about that. He said the $915 was the charge for the upgrade. To buy it outright after the original seat is “used”would be @ $1300. They keep the original unused seat to resell. You don’t get both for $915.

Last year I was charged $1100 for the air ride seat. No mention of discounted price or upgrade and dealer keeping the stock seat. Something to discuss with dealer when purchasing the tractor.

FYI, The only downside to the air ride seat is you lose the ability to run the PTO when the operator leaves the seat. The stock seat you can flip the seat forward and PTO safety will not shut the tractor off. I talked with Grammer (Air ride mfg) and they stated that there is a two position safety switch N.O and N.C. that supports PTO on with no operator but Kubota does not make use of that function. Not a big deal for me but if you ran a PTO generator, wood chipper, log splitter etc it may complicate running that equipment.

The MX tractors, and others I'm sure, have a PTO shutoff override switch on the dash so not a big deal. You can run the PTO when out of the seat.

The air ride looks like something I’d like to have in my tree stand..awesome. However, for me and my mx with original seat, if it’s too bumpy, then I am probably getting a little happy with the throttle. I am certainly jealous of the seat in the pic above, but the price brings me back down to reality…I have an open station and would never put an upholstered seat on it if for no other reason than weather and critters.

But as @kubotafreak mentioned, you can get the air ride seat with the plastic finish for open station tractors. I'll probably end up buying some sort of seat cover for the seat.

Whole good part # l6029 is the harness referenced to keep stationary pto on the grand L tractors. I dont have this, so I cannot speak to what it includes but It is referenced in the installation instructions for the factory air ride seat.

I think it depends on how much you weigh I'm over 250lbs and had a nice suspension seat upgrade on my MX5800 but wish I would have installed a air ride seat because the suspension seat even adjusted all the way up would still bottom out from time to time. The air ride seat handles heavy people much better.

I posted these photos in another thread but you get more than just an air suspension with the air ride seat. The armrests are adjustable for angle, the head rest is adjustable for height, and there's an adjustable lumbar support, not to mention a cloth covering rather than plastic.

Is this seat worth $1,107 ... heck yeah!

I have the same seat but need to fabricate the adapter bracket thats attached to the bottom of the seat. I have been unable to source just the adapter bracket from Kubota or any of the other seat suppliers.

If you do still have the tractor, could I trouble you for a couple photos showing a more detailed view of the adapter? Also I need to know how much the adapter lifts the seat above the base plate.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
