I have some irretating noice when I enganged the pedal forward and reserve on my newly bought B 3150 . Only on H speed, the other two positions quite normal.

I think what your describing is your hydraulic drive amd its normal. Called hydro whine.

You might want to replace the transmission fluid with SUDT2 (synthetic oil). It supposedly has made a difference in the whining on the tractor.

can we get a little more info? like do you know:

- does the noise change between a warmed up engine/oil and cold?
- is it worse in colder temps say at -30 versus say +15
- does it change if the operating rpm set low/med/high
- when engaging the "pedal" in high range are you feathering into it until machine is rolling or are you hitting the pedal hard and fast (like dumping a clutch on a sports car in 3rd gear at low rpm versus dumping in 1st gear at higher rpm )
- is this occurring when pointed uphill and downhill (aka worse when more load on it)
- do you have any equipment hooked to the back, are tires filled, etc...) also trying to asses a load thing in high range.

Evaluating sounds over text is like... well... Just not good.

Make a video / audio of it doing it and post it on Youtube and give us a link to see / hear it.

You could be having a normal HST whine or you could be having a host of other issues.

@K- fan since 1994 is from Norway.

Bet it's cold there.

A video/audio would help, like Wolfman said.

If it's only in H range, he may need more engine RPM, or he's trying to do things in H range he should do in L range.

Maybe a change of fluid/filters would help too, as @Russell King pointed out.

I bought the 2020 m, 230H traktor by a JD dealer in January and proved it for only 10 min. I have been driven B2100 for almost 25 year so I noe the HST system . The noice at Hi speed was much more than I expected, but it could be lack of oilchange and or filter. The traktor is delivered with SUDT2 Oil,but change about 200 H is scheduled. When I Get it in my backyard end of March I let you noe some more .
