It was a long day, had lots to do. Anyways, the tractor is parked in the garage. I put the bucket on, nailed it first time using the SSQA. A lot easier than I thought. This is really my first time using it, a little nerve wracking and intimidating but I'm sure with some seat time I'll get the hang of it. I was surprised to find out the rear wheels were loaded with beet juice. I don't think I'll need that ballast box when I get the box blade. But we will see.
It's a little tight in the garage with the side by side, but I'll be selling that soon..at least it fits with room to spare! Don't worry, the bucket is fully down, no pressure. Just sitting on a piece of wood.
No issues so far with the tractor. I found a loose bolt around the filter on the no stepside. Not sure why that was loose. I tightened it back up. The other issue was no hazard lights but I took a peek under the dash and it was unplugged. Perhaps it unplugged by itself from vibration or shock. Who knows. Maybe the previous unplugged it. Not sure but plugged it back in and it works perfectly fine.

Great deal on your tractor. I have loaded tires and a box blade on the back. I can lift a full heaped bucket of wet snow with no problems at all. You are gonna love working with the L2501. They are amazing tractors for their size.
I was worried about the turning radius but I'm like woah, it's actually not that bad! I'm just plowing snow with since I have a plow for it so I think the loaded tires will give me plenty of traction for my flat driveway without the need for the ballast box, hopefully.
I just have to ask, did you push it in or did you start it? 
It looks like it's in great condition and you'll have many years of enjoyment with it.

Am surprised with my 1880 turning radius. Not like the older tractors I have driven many years ago. One thing to remember, keep the loader down at all times when moving anything loaded. You want just enough height to move until you get to your destination, then unload. The first time you experience the rear tires coming off the ground will pucker your butt real quick.

The turning radius on all of these Kubota tractors is surprisingly small, particularly as you go up in size. I'm always amazed by how tight a turn I can make with my tractors. Just for comparison's sake here are some turning radius specs without brake applied.
BX > 7.5ft
L2501 > 8.2 ft
MX6000 > 8.9 ft
M6060 > 11.8 ft
I just want to say again how nice of a first tractor you've bought. My first Kubota was a BX25D which in retrospect wasn't enough of a tractor for my needs, but it sounds like the L is perfect for you and probably not a tractor that you'll outgrow for many years.
If you check the oil and hyd filters underneath and they are painted gray, they are the original
ones from the factory, if not, they have been serviced. Might give you pleasure knowing that they were changed like they should have been.

I picked up the filters and oil today since they are original. I'll change those when I get a chance, its been raining non stop so when its sunny out...I'll get it warmed up good and change them.
I did a lot of cleaning on the tractor today. I even got my buffer out and polished the paint. She's shinny now!! I also greased all fittings and touched up some paint, I got paint directly from Kubota. It matched perfectly too. I also just did some general maintenance on it. Just gotta change the oils and filters and she'll be ready to rock and roll. I need to service the plow too, it looks neglected so I gotta work on that before the snow starts flying.
I did some light rubbing compound to get rid of some minor scratches (lol, hey...I want it to look new so I can put my own story into it) I also did a paint sealant to help with UV fading and also some good ol' wax. I might need to add some more, will be good for winter. Snow wont stick to it, dust just blows off. Just makes it easier to keep clean.

+1 on this....I had a hell of a time monitoring the level, between K's crappy positioning of the sight glass and the "clear'ness" of the fluid it was tough.
The sight glass is still in a crappy spot, but now it's easily read.
I have also heard that "over filling" you hydraulic fluid is not detrimental like it is with your engine oil. Some people, like myself, keep it "over filled" on purpose.
