I've seen a few but not like 30 years ago when there would be a string a hundred yards long floating by.I havent seen Monarch butterfly's migrating for I bet 30 years,, we had one large group that came through like I said 30 or so years back. They settled on a tree in the upper field, the tree looked like it was covered in shimmering gold

They’re best left alone if possible. Been attacked once when my son and I got too close to a nest by the pond we didn’t know was there. Son was a little fellow so the gander and I were both in protect the kids mode. The gander didn’t want to discuss it calmly so after I discovered the origin of the term “being goosed” he discovered sometimes if your opponent steps back it’s not a retreat, it’s just so they can get a little room to kick you harder. We both discovered if there are no Karens around a boot to the furcula will swiftly create some distance and achieve a grudging truce without causing any long term damage. Not a pleasant experience, but I’m not going to have my ass kicked by a goose on my own property.yeah they're here year round. Same deal they breed/multiply, and poop everywhere. I say run them off but it don't matter because the locals take their kids out to see the "ducks" (geese!).
Someday some soccer mom's gonna take the rugrats out to see the "ducks" and the "ducks" aint' gonna be in a very good mood especially if they have "ducklings" around them....
If you've been attacked by a goose, you know. If not, you just don't. I don't trust them.
