What a Flustercluk, glad to hear it was resolved. Sounds like Kubota and your dealer dropped the ball big time. Just curious, what unit are you going with now? Alot of machines (makes) now are similar, dealer support and service should always be taken into the equation.
oddly enough I went with the same machine for one reason only. Because I was treated so horrificallythe insurance company had Kubota credit me 4k toward the purchase of a new machine the same or better quality in addition to buying my machine back for almost exactly what I paid for it. I understand my case was truly rare- I’m pretty much the only person I’ve found with a literal lemon so I was confident that another machine would perform fine.

The dealership who handled this is 1.5 hours away but they were really great.
I did get confirmation from Kubota, the insurance company, the far away dealer and anyone else who touched this case that Central Carolina in Sanford NC was among the most obtuse, ignorant,non-responsive and difficult groups of people anyone had dealt with.
shame they don’tget reprimanded or called out by Kubota.

Kubota is pretty strict on a lot of things towards the dealers.

i know this from 26 years of dealing with them. They really do have a great team, and they will tear you down in an attempt to bring you back up to their standards. Deere does the same thing but Deere is even more strict in a lot of ways. They have to be. People just think that they can run out there and say "hey mister kubota I'd like to sell your stuff". There is only one truth to that, it's that "it" happens. The rest of it is that it's extremely complicated and extremely expensive, and most folk have not a single clue about how a dealership runs be it a car, truck, tractor, powersports whatever.

But as I said before, there may be a little more to this than what I have read. And part of "that" may be that the dealer did get a ding of some sort, you'd never know it--but I guarantee you that they do. Case in point, if dealer does something that doesn't please the manufacturer, and the dealer is an accredited elite dealer for instance (their status among dealerships), then the manufacturer can pull their elite status. That also cuts their major unit and parts ordering processes, service labor rate reimbursement on warranty, and a ton of other things. YOU (and now me) may not ever see that, but it does happen.

Update- after almost two years of fighting with Kubota and my local dealer I finally reached someone who would listen.
they weren’t with Kubota, but with Ohio indemnity- the ktac insurance company. They heard my story and said “we got this”.
Took a few months, but they had an independent review done of this case and determined the machine had to be totaled. It was bought back from me.
OK.

You have had KTAC all along and did not mention this???

Why did KTAC not repair or replace the machine two years ago???

Sounds like skulduggery by the dealer.

Any claim to KTAC has to be initiated by the customer, the dealer can not have any part in it. KTAC will then contact the dealer on behalf of their client and after that will include the dealer in the process.

Other suggestions, such as directly dealing politely w/ Kubota, in writting, seem a better remedy.
That didn't work for me, I kept getting the boilerplate answer that my tractor would be fixed in X amount of time and nothing happened. Customer Service has one goal and that is to get you off the phone or close the case.

Thanks for returning to the thread and informing us of the outcome (and not leaving us “hanging”)…
… and THANKS for NAMING the bad dealership!
Many times timid people are afraid to Stand Up and name names… which lends doubt to their version of events.
Glad this worked out for you… Sympathies for the troubles. Thanks for sharing.
