So what do you guy's use as an alternative to Kubota's UDT fluid and can you mix it with another brand?

Are we talking about the B7800 in your profile or something else?

If it's your B7800, it's likely an HST?

If an HST, I wouldn't deviate from UDT.

I would actually upgrade to SUDT2.

Why not just drain, and change to SUDT2?

If you are actually talking about UDT and not SUDT2 most premium universal tractor transmission oils are "equivalent". And yes you can mix those products.

The base oil in the Kubota udt2 and the aftermarket brands are the same. This is true for all oils (engine, hydro, gear, .etc) However the additives are not and the additives are what really matter in performance and reduced component wear. The aftermarket oil will most likely work, but at what cost. When it comes to hydro fluid it's best to use what the OEM recommends.

I'm all about saving money, but a hydro system is not one of those places.
