More than three years ago - October 2021 - I posted here about a bobcat eating my chickens. After getting the appropriate tag from the game warden, I gave it to my daughter who wanted to get it mounted. It spent a couple of years in her game freezer waiting for a slot at the taxidermist.

Here is the result. I think the taxidermist nailed the mount!

Went out this morning to let my sweet chickens out and found this trespasser.

For the past few years, we've seen this massive rat usually in the early morning hours. Roaming about gathering what food the chickens sling all over the place. Well this morning, my little homie took one for the team. If it weren't for him, this bastard may have choked out some chickens.

Had this exact same situation a few years ago but with a king snake. Didn't kill him though.

SIL has gotten my daughter into fishing big time.

He has a slip for his boat on Monterey Bay, California.

They had a 2 or 3 day Salmon season recently.

Daughter got the biggest catch of the day. Barb-less hooks, so that takes some doing.

Don’t know if it was in the Bay or the Pacific.

I agree! I would like to think the habitat work is paying dividends and attracting and keeping more mature bucks but then when Nov. rifle season starts its like they turn to ghosts !

This isn't me, I lost the pictures a couple computers ago.. But it is a size comparison of the ....cat.... I had to deal with once around our livestock.. NOT a fun ..incident..

Digging my small wildlife pond with the L2501 was probably one of the most satisfying chores completed with it so far.

I am not all about deer hunting and big bucks but I do enjoy the amount of deer and other wildlife that utilize the pond.
