I have been having issues lately with a slight hesitation and stalls when I would push on rocker peddle. When I went to use tractor today it was stalling every time I would push slightly on the pedal, it did not matter if it was forward or reverse. I will have to assume that the diesel fuel is good and I also changed the fuel filter at 200 hrs ( there is 226 hrs now) because the machine idles fine when just sitting there running. Called Kubota and explained the symptoms and they said it may be the HST safety switch. I ordered it but I would like to hear the wealth of information from all the experienced owners out there. Thank you for any info that you have available for me.

Does your seat safety switch work? Are you heavy enough for it to actuate? If your light, you got to really be cognizant of not sitting on the seat edge. I feel like the foam is built for a 160lb person...

I weigh about 165 but usually am sitting back in seat. Check all safety switches when I did the 200 hr service. The seat safety switch can cause those symptoms that I stated?

I would second kubotafreak, if it were the hst switch you would likely have issues with it not starting at all.

It can, if it is not right the machine will try to die as soon as you move the treadle pedal. The machine will start as long as the pedal is in neutral and pto is off. Do you hear the small lift pump clicking/pulsing with key on engine off?

Thanks, I will try bypass in morning before I pick up safety switch. Makes no sense installing something that may be okay!

I want to thank all for responding to my issue. Those of you that said it was the seat safety bypass switch were correct! I did not replace the HST switch, all I did was remove a lumbar support that I had on my seat back. Due to my own mistake of having a lumbar support it must have pushed my butt just enough away with the colder weather that the foam was not compressing correctly. I used the machine all day today and did not have any issues. Again thanks to all especially kubotafreak for suggesting the seat foam switch!
