How to Fix Implements Issue

I am not familiar with the part names and I cannot find them on the internet, so I am going to wing this. I will be using the divers side and passengers side like in a vehicle in the USA for reference. I am having a issue with installing (better yet getting my pin to seat on the passenger side for my bucket after using other implements. I am trying to fix this without going to the dealer. I have not had any accidents with it, just general wear and tear. I do grease and lube often.

I have a 2501 and I noticed (the last 2-3x's) that it was getting harder to get my pins lined up when installing my bucket. After further inspection I noticed things were off. I put a level on the drivers side and rotated it till it was level and when I put the same level on the passengers side it was way off (see pictures Loader DS Level Close Up and Loader PS Level).

I took photos for more reference. The front view photos you can see how the unit is off (and I am on somewhat level ground) and another picture will show how the arms for the seating pins are off and the pins are not anywhere close in the positioning down (Photo Front End Off & Front End Pins). I have adjusted the nut on the lever for the pin, but it does not do anything different.

I also measured the distance of travel on the lower hydraulic arms. The drivers side was approximately 2.5" (see photo DS Lower Hyd Arm) and the passengers side was approximately 3.5" (see photo PS Lower Hyd Arm). I also measured the upper hydraulic arm and the DS was 6.5" and the PS was 6.25".

Any help here would be awesome. If you have any other questions for me to help solve this would be great. Also sorry if there are any grammar errors, it happens.

Thank You

Welcome!
There are quite a few posts using the forum’s search feature that will get you fixed up, quick-without heading to the dealer or having to purchase a part. In short, your quick attach paddles are out of time because of a twisted tube, between them.

here’s just one:

Good luck

Not to sound stupid (but I probably will anyways), but what tube between them? I ask because I don't see any tubes between them, other than the hydraulic fluid metal pipes under the protective cover and none of those are twisted.

chin up... what you describe is not uncommon.

it takes very little to get the sync out of wack making pin on stuff getting added back on. I have been busting knuckles for half a century over the exact same issues. You can try to fix and you will be able to get it close but I have never experience perfect alignment.

yours appears off by a lot. Ive seen this type of thing when the buckets used to pull stumps with a chain or dig stumps with corners of bucket versus centre which would split forces equally on both sides. Unbalanced forces twist stuff.

cheers.

No such thing as a stupid question. 😉
I have an arrow pointed to the tube that is likely twisted. In that same pic in the upper left corner, I put a dot close to where I drilled a hole on each latch to stick a short bungee cord thru, so sticks wouldn’t come thru my grapple to flip one up, easily.

It’s the metal pipe/tube that’s in the bottom left of your first picture. It connects each side of the quick attach sections together. It probably won’t appear to be twisted, but your pictures of the level and ruler definitely show it’s twisted. (Good job on the pictures also).

It usually happens when one side of the implement isn’t latched properly or comes off under load.

I would check the loader mounts on the frame. Just a little movement of the mounts near the seat would show up as a large amount in the front.

I'd also try bleeding the pressure from the loader cylinders if they aren't extended the same amount.

Finally, I'd also check every other bolt in the linkage.

None of this makes any sense...

The loader mounts have nothing to do with the SSQA latch plates being out of sync.
The cylinders are plumbed in parallel, you can not power one at a time, they work in unison.
The SSQA latch plates are not bolted onto the loader frame.

I think the first few replies covered it really well.
The SSQA latch plates are just out of sync.
Super easy to fix.
If you need more help getting them sync'd just ask.

Thank you everyone for tall the information. I have the paddles straighter now and will be welding it this winter to prevent further twisting. Thanks again
FYI: There is no reason to have to reinforce it, as long as you get both latches engaged it can't bend the plates again.

My neighbor and I figured out that the lower bar that runs between the 2 sides is twisted. It works for now, just want to reinforce the bucket since we live in river rock (hell the name of our creek is Rock, for that reason).

As North Idaho Wolfman nemtioned any welding is not needed IF you have BOTH latched engaged.

You can weld all the steel you want on that cross piece, but if you fail to get latches totally down you will bend your new addition. All the weight in the bucket will be applying pressure on the one latch that is holding, and that will twist your creation!

Best to be aware of the need to be latched and check it carefully when attaching equipment. Here's what I did to be sure latches stayed in place (especially necessary if using a grapple).
