Yes! That is a great idea. Even better than I was thinking. I really like the 2x12 idea. Would be more than enough to store what I need to.

i got a load of 2x10 farm lumber and built shelving above the main 2x12 leaning shelf. It’sa little like a pool hall, with a wrap around the outside bar top to keep your items off the pool tables.
