If your financing you should get 2 rear remotes in the deal. They look pretty tough to install vs a 3rd function. I can't imagine not having TnT (FitRight) on my L2501. If you don't get them I promise you will eventually say that you wish you had gotten them from the start.

That price beats the quote I was working with, and I am getting 2 less implements. Back to the negotiating table...thank you for sharing.

Bill before you try to renegotiate you might want to wait for nota4re to confirm that what he's getting is L2501 HST. If it is indeed a L2501HST that's a heck of a price.

Agreed, it is. Mine, L2501 HST, R4s, LA525 w/ 66" SSQA bucket, BB1266 box blade, came out at $19,360. Add KTAC and filing fees comes in at $21,540.

Yes, I confirm, I got the 2501 HST.

My sales guy (super nice and knowledgeable) configured the machine as you see it - less the QH15. I went and did my research and walked back in a couple of days later.

My Q's were:

1) Why the 1860 versus 1260 on the mower?
2) Why a 66" scraper instead of 60"

I liked his answers. On the mower, he basically said that the 1860 is pretty much all they order and use. Never ever had any problems. Yes, the 1260 can save me a bit but is obviously a little lighter duty. He thought the 1260 would be fine for me but he could solidly recommend the 1860 based on his experience.

For the scraper - I liked his logic. As the bucket is 66", if you are trying to stay parallel to a fence or some line, it is always nice to have the front and rear implements the same width. Smart.

I hemmed and hawed a little on the price. All of you may know that on Kubota's website, they're advertising a L2501 (Manual trans) + 1260 mower + 1260 scraper + Quick attach for 20,995 and with 20% down, $199 for 84 months.

Together we looked at that on the website - and I told him what I wanted was very similar but with an HST. Then I just said, if you can throw in the QH15, I'll do the deal you have configured right now..... and he did! So, I feel super good. I got the HST and a couple of upgrades and I think my payment before insurance is $224.73.

Bill's deal and my deal are very similar. Both of us have L2501 HST, R4s, LA525 with 66" SSQA bucket. We also both have the BB1266 box blade. In addition I got the mower (RCR1860) and the Quick Attach (QH15) for $2540 more...

In actuality Bill's deal a wee bit better - but very similar deals for two very different parts of the Country. Also, if financing for 0% isn't your thing, I think you can choose a $500 rebate to subtract from the prices we've provided.

Thank you for clarifying your quote, most appreciated. I am going to the dealer tomorrow and have a conversation on needs, and financing

Bill, FWIW -

I originally was just going to pay cash but ended up doing the 84 mos at 0%. Essentially it's just another discount.

If you do finance with Kubota (0% 60 mos with 0 down, or 0% 84 mos with 20% down), you'll need to show them insurance coverage or buy theirs. I believe mine is $32/mo from them - essentially $1 a day. From what I have read, they are super people to deal with should you have to make a claim.

Just food for thought.

In terms of trying to get something thrown in at the last minute - you may consider the QH15 or the telescoping arms #L8430. The QH15 is $600-ish and the #L8430 is ~$185.

Well, the deal is struck. $23.5 for the brand new ( .1 hours! ) L2501 HST with LA 525 loader, SSQA 66" bucket, (2) 3/8" chain hooks welded on bucket, BB1266 box blade, PFL2042 SSQA forks, KTAC insurance, and 2 new ball caps. Should be delivered upon my return from Nebraska.

I only got one ball cap! :(

Bill just a small thing that I'll mention which may be of no importance to you. On my first tractor I had two hooks welded on the top of the bucket, one toward each side. Anytime I wanted to lift something of any weight I felt that I should connect to both hooks for a balanced lift in order not to torque the loader arms. There are some instances like lifting a long pole where using both hooks can be more stable but most of the time just connecting to s single hook (in the middle) would have been easier so that's what I did on this bucket and I like it better. Actually having three might be the best.

Man it's going to be tough thinking about your new tractor but having to wait until you get back from Nebraska! :)

We have a set of these on the L3901

https://www.palletforks.com/tractor...teer-pallet-fork-attachment-quick-attach.html

and also a set of the Land Pride PFL3048 forks on the MX5800.

Definitely recommend getting 48" forks over the shorter tines.

The Land Pride (they were $850) are definitely higher build quality than the EA or Titans, but all are fine

We use the forks all the time for everything
I have the same UA 48" made in the US forks as you. I use them on both my L2501 and MX4800. I'm very satisfied by the quality. They seem heavy for my L2501 - definitely heavier than the bucket, which means with them on you are losing lift capacity. However, still functional.

I also only got one ball cap when I bought my L2501 this year, so don't feel bad.

On my 2013 B2920, I welded two hooks on like Bill originally described. Just like you discovered, with any kind of weight I felt the need to run the chain through both hooks to balance the load, which could be a pain. On my MX and L2501, the dealer went ahead and welded (and painted) a single choker hook in the center, without even me asking. They also put the missing right hand grab handle on both tractors. I definitely recommend getting the handle. I imagine so many people buy the handle afterwards, that Kubota should just raise the price of these machines by about $50 to cover it as standard.

Bill, you're getting a great tractor. Your deal was a little better than mine. Post a pic when you have it.

Just an update. I consummated my deal for the 2501, LA525 Loader and 66" QA bucket, RCR1860 Rotary Mower, 1266 Box Scraper, and QH15 Quick attach for $21,900 before sales tax. I put 20% down and took the 0% for 84 mos.

The dealer delivered everything but the scraper (out of stock) to our property (about 50 miles away) and I never signed anything nor paid for anything. Two weeks go by and dealer calls to say scraper is in and they could deliver following Tuesday or I could pick up on the Friday before. I chose to pick up the scraper in order to "play" with it over the long weekend. Before I could ask, dealer asked if I wanted a hat and I told him that I had to have two! No problem - I guess there is at least two different designs so I got 1 of each!

My local Tractor Supply had a sale on their CountyLine post hole digger so I just had to go get one of those too!

So far really impressed with the box scraper which has finally made the L2501 work a bit. At least I got the fuel tank gauge to budge a little.

I have to admit that when I first acquired the property (last November) I purchased a mint Case 580M backhoe. We had a LOT of established Oleander bushes and numerous trees (and root balls) that needed to be removed. The 580 makes quick work of those tasks. I also have some serious trenching I need to do (water lines, gas lines, electrical lines) in anticipation of building our retirement home - so the 580 is a GREAT tool.

However, one of the biggest positive surprises of the 580M has been the absolute usefulness of the 4-in-1 bucket. I wish Kubota would offer something like that! While I'm a relative amateur at "scooping", I can pick up stuff like a pro with that 4-in-1. Someday after we get the trenching behind us, I will say goodbye (reluctantly) to the 580, but the plan is that the L2501 will be with me for a LONG time.

Thanks to all for your input. I did add the right side grab handle, the center hook on the bucket (3 total), and yes, even though I am enjoying Nebraska, I am surely waiting upon arrival of my new tractor.
