Good evening all, the allure of a FEL has now overtaken logical thought. I am receiving quotes on the above, along with the 66" bucket, FDR1660 rfm, and the 42" pallet forks. Going to talk to local salesman Saturday morning, and get his quote. Also got a decent quote from just across the state line. That would save $1600. That will cover the Piranha tooth bar and BB1260, I believe. Any pointers? No extra remotes at this time, no 3rd function for now. Maybe in the future, but not necessary at this time.

The HST tractor with a FEL, industrial tires and RFM should put you around 21.5. If you***8217;re coming to the Fort Wayne area, they***8217;re an excellent dealer to do business with.

Consider the 72 inch RFM. It***8217;s what was recommended to me and I couldn***8217;t be happier. When I demoed my L, it had a used FDR1660 on it.. it hardly covered the rear wheels and visually appeared too small for the tractor.

Dlundbad, thank you for the pointer. I will indeed move up to the 72" finish mower. Should I also consider the same size box blade, or stick with the 60"?

I’ve never ran a BB on my L so I can’t offer any helpful insight.

Oliver, thank you for that. That is almost $3k less than my best quote, with more options. May I ask who your dealer was? I am going to go test one tomorrow, and will definitely keep this in mind.

Just my 2 cents, but a 65" box blade is the perfect width for your tractor in my opinion as well as matches up with the loader bucket better.

Also weight is your friend when it comes to grading. Get as heavy of a unit that you can afford.

This linked to roll over box blade is about the best all around unit for the money for your tractor model IMO.

Again, just my 2 cents. ;)

I'd second the larger box blade suggestion as well. I think you should be looking for a 5.5 footer.

I have received 5 quotes, and they are 2+ - 3k higher than what I am comfortable with at this time. I am going tomorrow to look at a 14 B2920 with LA364 loader. Apples to oranges, I know, but I can add weight to the B to help her dig. A few more PTO horsepower will help with implements. The loader is weaker, but it will be for a homeowner, not a business, and I believe with care I can make it work well for my needs. 298 hours, looks to be in very good condition. And no emissions.

the cost difference is just a sunk cost, you get it back on any resale

Just a quick update, I found the deal I was looking for. The tractor will be ordered soon, then the real fun (work) begins. Time to put the 7100 on the auction block.

Oliver, just the FEL and BB1266 box blade for the time being. This will be used for everything but mowing. I currently have a carry all, boom pole, and trailer adapter for the 3ph. I will be searching for a reasonable set of pallet forks in the near future, bit not willing to lay $935 for the Land Prides. I will be adding the Piranha tooth bar as soon as I select and secure my bucket.

Well, I just consummated my deal yesterday here in Southern California. Not a lot of competition of different Kubota dealers - 3 dealerships around me but all owned by same company. My config and deal as follows:

L2501
R4 Tires, Grill Guard Included
LA525 Front Loader with 66" QA Bucket
RCR1860 Rotary Mower
BB1266 Box Scraper
QH15 Quick Attach

Package price (before insane CA taxes): $21,900

I chose option for 20% down and 0% for 84 mos. Had the money to buy outright, but if someone want to give me free interest, what the heck?
