Central Illinois here. We have the low grade gas for $2.39 a gallon and propane just cost me $1.05 per gallon although I locked in a low price last summer by pre-buying it.

If you're considering contracted price, a few months ago I paid .99 gallon. The current price is the 1.24
Wbk and others... Converting Canadian per litre pricing to compare to US fuel prices requires a little bit of math. The example here, CAD$1.09/litre actually works out to about US$3.10 per gallon. Remember, our friends to the south are using US gallons, or 128 ounce gallons, not Imperial gallons. The approximate conversion factor for litres-to-US Gallons is X3.78.We're $1.09 a litre that's about $4.36 a us gallon, before Christmas it was .92 cents.
Fuel price scares are the best time to buy trucks. I got my current Dakota with 42k on the clock for $7k last time gas hit $4. I've been watching for cheap 3/4 tons but nothing yet.Yep! And I was really close to buying another truck. Think I'll be keeping the SUV.

In the example above, $1.09 x 3.78 = CAD$4.12 per US gallon. Then apply a typical exchange rate conversion of something like 0.75 (didn't see the rate today but yesterday it was 0.754). so CAD$4.12 X 0.75 = USD$3.09 per US gallon.
