Just went thru this and put a belt drive from Lowes on. In the end I didn't save that many $ from what Overhead Door & one other quoted installed.
I still have to buy some kind of black box to make the unit work with my 2012 Chevy truck control. New one worked with the Tahoe & Subaru fine.

Depending on what the control box costs, it might be cheaper and easier to just purchase another remote and clip it to your visor.

I fixed the problem, sold a couple my remote on my visor for big bucks & thru in the house with it
At the farm we have an Overhead Door brand & works with both my truck & Subaru

YES...waay overpriced especially when you consider there's far less parts.
Make your own is easy... small FHP right angled gear motor,2 sprockets, length of chain.slip clutch(optional). if you want 'fancy' add a chip for the 'bell and whistles' like WIFI and security. I got 3 free ones ,used 'industrial overhead door' units from local guy.

i found 4 of them for sale locally, ad said "make offer". I offered $20 each for them/ being used and no telling for what and for how long and what condition. I just need the motors and I'll ditch the tracks and most of the chains. Guy counter-offered at $500 EACH. Said he paid $700/ea. He's out of his mind. I laughed for almost an hour after reading the counteroffer. I'd like to see the receipts where he paid $700/ea for those cheapo chamberlains. We have 17 of them at work and I just replaced one; they are like $240. Exact same model. But he is so far out there that I can't even think of a good way to argue.
