Hi,

as far as I remember out of my head the G1800 front wheel rims are symmetrical and they have ball bearings both sides, 25mm inside diameter if I am not wrong.

Kind regards,
Hugo

p.s.: my left front wheel is leaking. Maybe we can swap one wheel, at least we have symmetrical front axles then again :ROFLMAO:
I had my tyre off already (what a job) and it is rim corrosion in my case. No point filling gunk in, corrosion removal and respraying has to be addressed at some stage and I don't want it to be messier than it is already. This is further down on my loooonnnng to do list :)

Is the grass catcher attached to the three point hitch? Was that always done like this?

I checked mine, and it's just dry rotted. The whole sidewall is leaking, so I ordered 2 new front tires (4-ply) and a set of tire spoons. I did get the rubber off the rim with flat screw drivers, but it was no fun! Rim is in good shape. I may go around the edge of the rim with a file and sand paper just to make sure there are no burrs before I install the new tire.

My, your rims look like an order of magnitude better than mine, mine are leaking at the rim... I also had a bit of fun getting the tyre off the rim despite having proper tyre levers. My tyre mounting machine does not handle 8" rims. But I think I will make adapters, I do not want to do that job by hand again.

I was able to get the tires off with 2 flat screwdrivers and a flat bar. I did order a set of tire spoons to use for the rest (dismounting the other tire and mounting the 2 new ones). After doing it once, I think it will be easier with the right tools.

Since the 3-point hitch is nearly impossible to find, has anyone put a sleeve hitch on a G1800? Something like this?
Anything is possible with a hammer and heat!

I used Rustoleum gloss, and the color is Almond.
My wheels and other parts of the tractor were very close to RAL1015, light ivory but all pictures I found including the ones in the catalogue show a much lighter colour like the one you used. I mixed RAL9016 traffic white and RAL1015 light ivory now 50/50 and that should be close enough.

Working on straightening the rims and rust removal at the moment, turns out that the second rim that was not leaking had a lot more rust than the leaking one. They had put a tube in

Made adapters for the tyre mounting machine, getting the tyre on and off is a doodle now compared to the endless struggle before with the tyre levers.

Wow! Nice tyre machine! Now it's time for a visit with Mister Wirewheel. The Rustoleum paint looks like an exact match, or close enough for a garden tractor. Is it available where you are?

Hi,
yes, I've seen that paint around somewhere. But I use industrial two pack paint and I have it bought already
