Fuel flow

Having a fuel issue on my L2950. I’m pretty sure I have a low flow issue guessing a partially clogged line. Main question, if I remove the filter and bowl then open the fuel cock valve, should I be getting the full weight of the fuel’s worth of flow or just a trickle? I think my problem is above the filter.
When turned off and sits for a few minutes, she starts and runs great. But after a minute or two bogs down and eventually dies. The flow seems low when filter is removes and valve is open but I don’t remember seeing how fast it is supposed to flow before the filter bowl.

The fuel should come out fast enough to fill a quart in a minute.
My guess is crap in the tank plugging the outlet or screen if there is one.

Yeah, I can barely fill the filter bowl in a minute… now do I want to pull the tank or try and siphon it out

Yeppers something is plugged up.

Pull the line that feed the filter housing and see what flow you get from there.
Some of the Filter housings have a screen on the inlet, I don't remember if it's that model or not.
Or it could just have crud in the inlet valve portion.

Try taking the hose off before removing the tank. Much less work. Maybe run a piece of wire, a straightened out piece of coat hanger perhaps thru the line(s). Compressed air if you have it would be more civilized. Good luck.

TAKE THE CAP OFF before using compressed air to back flush the line.
Those plastic tanks don't fair well under pressure.

Well thanks everyone, problem solved! I disconnected the line going into the filter bowel and pinched it with needle nose vicegrips. I was able to open the pliers and shove a small wire up the line that partially cleared the blockage and immediately flow increased. So I decided to spray about 30 psi up the line and then syphoned the fuel out of the tank and ran it through cheese cloth. Sure enough there was a halfway decomposed horsefly in the tank that must have clogged the line. Now she runs like new! Thanks for all the help, crisis’ everted!
