My Kubota RTV 400 has blown out two fuel filters in less than a week. The second one was a lot bigger than the original. Any ideas on what could be causing this? They have both blown after a cold start.
I assume these are the plastic in line filters that have blown.
I assume there is an electrical lift pump that may be producing too much pressure. That could be from some upstream restriction to flow or the pump may be defective.
I would remove the fuel lines from the engine end and see if there is good flow out of the hose. Place end of hose in clean bucket to catch anything that comes out of the hose to see if there is debris. Or just replace the hoses and pump?
