Unfortunately, for diesel fuel pricing reference, not everyone on OTT lives where you live.
Very true. That’s why I said where I live. Just to give perspective that there’s a wide range in prices around different regions. Even among states. There’s a refinery in NM about 50 miles from the AZ state line. I have seen the same refinery truck filling station tanks in both states, yet fuel prices in AZ are about $1 higher.

I dont think the price of diesel fuel has been below $5 a gallon at all this year in new Mexico.
Did you not see/read post #11…??? All NM…None above $5.

Dyed diesel is $4.35 locally (Cen-Tex area) while last year at this time it was $2.75.

The inflated prices are the result of supply/demand. The pandemic (which the previous administration deliberately pooh-poo’d as fake) created a stay-at-home economy that resulted in production shortages at all levels. This had the effect of inflated prices for diminished supply of goods.
Once a higher price becomes accepted by consumers…producers/retailers are reluctant to reducing back to pre-shortage pricing. This causes huge profits for corporations on the backs of the general public…. and hoarding sets-in when supplies hit the shelves which contributes to keeping prices high.

This is nothing new. The crash of ‘08/’09 was not caused by Obama… he only took office in Jan ‘09 but he got the blame for it.

heard on the news diesel here is going up 10% ( 17 cent+ per litre ) overnight...
so the 'cheap 2.20 now will be 2.37 when Mr. Sun reappears...

Different part of the state.
All around me are above $5 a gallon.
NM is a Democrat run shthole.
We have abundant and cheaper fuel than most places, and no insane radicals in government. If you want radicals running the state government, and higher fuel prices, move next door to AZ.

What planet are you living on? Why do you even post your political rhetoric? All it does is cause dissension and division.

Went to Ohio last week for work. Get there Sunday night gas was 3.29. Great, I’ll fill up after work Monday. Monday price jumped to 3.89. Still less than the 4.19 in Indiana, which jumped to 4.29. Didn’t notice what diesel was.
