Diesel shortage

I went out and bought diesel for the first time since 2020. I didn't have to, i could have easily gone another year before I had to buy more diesel.
Went to the station that's cheapest in town started pumping and before I could hit my debit card limit the pump slowed down less than a gallon per minute. That tank was going dry.
Went to the next diesel station and got my fill.
Remember when #44 said "never let a crisis go to waste"?
Works both ways.

Let me guess you're one of the unprepared people who horded toilet paper @ $20 a pack or went out and bought a ton of 2x4s for $9 each that you still haven't used?

People who use gasoline don't give 2 sh*ts about "diesel shortage" -not until the stations run out of gas because there isn't anything able to deliver it . I filled up 2 weeks ago at the Reservation, it was $4.559 but there were tanker trucks making deliveries. Next time I went it last week it was $5.209. I went yesterday and it was $5.559. I see a continuous climb now, just not sure how high it's gonna get this time-I'm guessing over $7 by turkey day....remember, it's not nickel and dime increases now, it's 30-60 cents at a time now

Well there was no toilet paper to be had anywhere so $20 for a 6 pack of premium mega rolls was a deal. No one had to buy it, its not like I was gouging for baby formula. I suppose people could use a washcloth or their hand and wash it.
The 2x4s I sold to the local builder were $7 when they were available at Lowe's for $9. At $9 each there was no shortage, the shelves here were full and I bet the builder up charged the customer to $10 which is what one would pay for $9 board after sales tax.

It's a fleet card. They'll do up to $500.

The place where I stopped had off-road and on road diesel. 4.83 for off-road diesel. On road 50 cents more. So, I'm good for a while.

If you have it in your hand - diesel, gasoline, food, ammunition, any resource - you have it. If it is in a bank, store, fund, file or under the control of someone else, so are you.
Also, if you have two you have one. If you have one you have none.

I dont think the price of diesel fuel has been below $5 a gallon at all this year in new Mexico.
