Thats cold. May not be the fastest in the bunch but the 4 wheel drive is the best on the planet!
Yeah I have had a couple, and used them, still miss my J10,,sad part is most of them will never be off the road enough to use 4wd and I would guess 99% of those drivers that might try to drive off road dont know how to use 4wd to begin with or how to drive off road

4-wheel drive doesn't get used much on ours. Mostly in the winter on the hills in NH.
It does spend a lot of time going to the dealers for recalls, however. My wife wanted one so we got one; it would not be my choice for a primary car, maybe as an older 3rd vehicle for playing in places that actually need 4-wheel drive.
I get a kick of all the ones I see on the road all decked out like they were going off-road on some nasty trails, but clean and shiny like any road queen. Makes me wonder if the winch has ever been used.
I think maybe people buy them to have a place to keep their rubber duckies. :)
But if that's what you want, glad you have one and enjoying it!

Being totally honest there's not much need for a 4WD vehicle around here. Almost without exception roads are usually passable hours after a snow storm. There are almost no real offroad opportunities here. I't not like we have playgrounds like Matt, Casey and Rory. HOWEVER since my first Jeep in 1970 there was only one short period of about 3 months when I didn't have something 4WD. I felt like a cowboy without a horse.

My current winch is a 9K in a cradle mount that works on either end of the Trailblazer. It is stored in the garage and gets pulled out when it's needed for a job. It sees more use dropping trees and dragging stuff than recovery. I'm not an offroader and can only recall using a winch for self extraction twice. Sometimes in the Winter I'll toss it in the back just in case. I like this approach because it keeps it in like new condition. Permanently mounting it as I've done with a couple other winches means that it would ride in salt spray all Winter for only a few pulls. Like Imarobot said there are all sorts of rigs on the road that probably don't leave the pavement. It's not unusual to see a 4X4 with all sorts of lighting, a HiLift jack on the hood, winch in the front bumper, etc. There's one shiny Tahoe locally that even has rortolok cans and traction boards and other stuff fastened all over it.
