I was happy. My girlfriend and I had been dating for over a year, and so we decided to get married.
My parents helped us in every way, my friends encouraged me, and my girlfriend? She was a dream!
There was only one thing bothering me, very much indeed, and that one thing was her younger sister.

My prospective sister-in-law was twenty years of age and wore tight mini-skirts and low-cut blouses. She would regularly bend down when quite near me and I got many a pleasant view of her underwear. It had to be deliberate. She never did it when she was near anyone else.

One day little sister called and asked me to come over to check the wedding invitations. She was alone when I arrived. She whispered to me that soon I was to be married, and she had feelings and desires for me that she couldn't overcome and didn't really want to overcome.

She told me that she wanted to make love to me just once before I got married and committed my life to her sister. I was in total shock and couldn't say a word.

She said, "I'm going upstairs to my bedroom, and if you want to go ahead with it just come up and get me." I was stunned. I was frozen in shock as I watched her go up the stairs. When she reached the top she pulled down her panties and threw them down the stairs at me.

I stood there for a moment, then turned and went straight to the front door. I opened the door and stepped out of the house. I walked straight towards my car.

My future father-in-law was standing outside. With tears in his eyes, he hugged me and said, "We are very happy that you have passed our little test. We couldn't ask for a better man for our daughter. Welcome to the family."

The moral of this story is: Always keep your condoms in your car!

I mowed the lawn today, and after doing so
I sat down and had a cool one.
The day was really quite beautiful, and the drink facilitated some deep thinking.
My wife walked by and asked me what I was doing,
and I said, "Nothing."
The reason I said "nothing" instead of saying "just thinking" is because she then would have asked, "About what?"
At that point I would have had to explain that men are deep thinkers about various topics, which would lead to other questions.
Finally I pondered an age old question: Is giving birth more painful than getting kicked in the nuts?
Women always maintain that giving birth is way more painful than a guy getting kicked in the nuts, but how could they know?
Well, after another sip, and some more heavy deductive thinking, I have come up with an answer to that question.
Getting kicked in the nuts is more painful than having a baby, and even though I obviously couldn't really know, here is the reason for my conclusion:
A year or so after giving birth, a woman will often say, "It might be nice to have another child."
But you never hear a guy say, "You know, I think I would like another kick in the nuts."
I rest my case.

I thought the use of pumped storage was to build up storage during non-peak times and then generate power back into the grid during peak times. The primary generating station(s) could then be sized based on 'average' draw rather than 'peak' demand.
Yes, they are basically just giant batteries. Very cheap for the capacities needed, but yeah, take up a lot of room.

I dunna know. Looks to me like it would never work with the pump above the level of the liquid in the funnel. Pump (turbine in this case) below the static level of the liquid seems like it would work fine.

Was the photo changed after your post?

I am electrical in background. Please enlighten me.
If the outlet were lower than the turbine than it would work until it ran out of water. If the outlet is higher than the turbine it would work until the water levels equalize. As it is drawn, the water will drain out of the outlet until the two sides are of equal level.
However it's set up, it would be very short lived. Far from perpetual.

LOL...I missed the point that it was supposed to be a perpetual source of energy. That's why I said pump...guess this reply fits the daily chuckle thread... I am enlightened now! :ROFLMAO:
