As I read this I could not help but wonder what the woman's size had to do with this situation. I am sensing a micro-aggression against people who are weight challenged or handicapped by fear of technology.
That is rightly in Daily Chuckle if true: a person named “Ton” with micro-aggression toward large people.

I had a very large woman roll her packed cart up to the self checkout stand next to mine not long ago. She immediately called the attendant over and told her to ring the items up for her and bag them, which the attendant did without question. I couldn't believe it. I'm just standing there wondering...What do you not understand about how this is supposed to work?? And of course everyone else at self checkout had to wait if they had a problem because the attendant was scanning and bagging for that fool. This is our society now.
Does the grocery store pay you to check out items for them? No? I refuse to use self checkout because you take away paying jobs from people who need them. This is a big business cash grab, no thanks.

Companies here in Canada recently won the right to charge credit card users up to 2.5% transaction fees for using CC's on their purchases. Another cash grab. I say FU to these businesses you won't be getting my business.

I say good on that woman giving the finger to "the man" for screwing it's employees and taking away jobs. Buy local. Support local.

Since the "companies" pay the CC company each time they do a transaction, it seems fair to me. The cash customer has been paying full price for all these years, so they were getting screwed.

Or, you get to stand and wait for them to finish their TikTok or Instagram or Facebook post when all you wanted to do is grab a 6 pack of beer and get out. The funny part is, I got carded with a grey beard hanging half way down my chest. Yep, no kid left behind!

A few years ago, I was in town and wife asked me to pick up some maraschino cherries for something or other she was making. That was the only thing I was buying. Checkout lady asked me for ID. Told her I didn't know what the minimum age for buying cherries was but I hoped 48 was good enough. She said it had been a long day. We laughed. I was allowed to purchase the cherries.
