After about an hour of use over the last year, my front windshield wiper on my BX80 Curtis Cab just fell off tonight. It appears part of the connecting hardware failed. Can someone post a photo so I can try and scrounge up some hardware and reattach? The Curtis parts diagram is not helpful. Thanks!

Usually the wiper arms are secured with either a nut. or a friction/spring clip retainer. Try to find a model/serial number on the wiper motor and google it. There's only a few manufacturers of these wipers out there.

If you take the parts to a heavy truck parts supply they should be able to help you sort things out.

Thanks, the whole arm didn't come off, just the wiper blade itself detached from the arm. I can't find any photos of how it is assembled. It appears that one pin sheared off and some other hardware vibrated loose and disappeared into the snow. But I can't find any photos and Curtis' parts diagram doesn't show that level of detail.

Thanks Mikester! Looks like I lost several pieces. I reached out to my local Kubota dealer where I bought it and sounds like they will be able to fix it under warranty. Unfortunately a storm is in the forecast for Sunday and I'll have to cobble something up to get by with so this will be very helpful!

Be glad that your arm isn't one of the articulating arms, because they cost 2 legs and 3 arms to buy. If it is the articulating arm, then you have to buy the complete assembly, since no service parts are available. I know that I couldn't find anything in the aftermarket for that arm when it failed. Only a new one from Curtis, who is extremely proud of their service parts. I believe that Mikes picture shows an articulating arm, and I am basing that on the image in in the reflection on the glass.
The cab on my BX23s has a single bolt and nut that holds the wiper blade to the non-articulating arm.

Rusty I did see some folks posting about that when looking for a photo so I could see how it is supposed to look. Looks like my hardware that connects the wiper prematurely wore out and/or vibrated loose and my wiper blade simply fell off.

Looking at your picture, the piece in your hand is bolted to the arm, and the circular part has a mating part that rotates and is then pinned tightly with a small bolt and nut. This sets the orientation of the blade to the glass. This was used on the Anco universal fit wiper blades starting around 1950 till ????. If there is an old salvage yard near you ask if you could walk the yard looking for one. Please see the picture for details. I would also suggest that you try an old auto parts store. I know that this isn't exactly what your original one was like, but it should work just as well with the blades that come with various attachment parts inside of the package. The blade will be what is known as a "bayonet" type.

Podting for informational purposes to anyone who needs to know. I run the Curtis Advantage cab on my BX2380, the wiper that works best is the Napa 6-2060. This is a winter type booted wiper and is a direct bolt up to the current wiper arm. The wiper comes with some attach hardware, 2 bolts and nuts and a pin - all of which are not needed.
5/16 and 9/32 are needed for the small wiper bolt.
