I don't watch the forecast for 5 minutes and look whats happens... thought we were gonna be mostly clear for a few days... :/
They will have a better idea about Wednesday's storm next Friday.

Got all the sticks picked up yesterday. And burn piles burned. But.... mother nature dropped another 2" of rain last night :( Sprung a hydraulic leak on the tractor yesterday afternoon.

So instead of low impact with the tractor to get my landscape trailer out, I had to go get it with the Sierra 1500. Got half way through the soft spot and had to kick in the 4wd :D So once things dry out I'll have some ruts to fill in

DT,

feel for ya bub.

it ended up being really awesome here today. still tracked up the yard pretty bad... but man did i get lucky today!

went out & dropped the first tree this morning & looked up & my neighbor was there... he wanted to know if id give him some of the wood cause he heats with it. said he would help cut it up & stuff.

i said sure!! he's a good dude with a young family.. told him he could have all he wants.

turns out he is real good with a chainsaw. we dropped 4 more dead ash trees today & cut them into 5' pieces.... went & dropped them over his fence for him to finish cutting up & splitting later.

all of these were 40-50' tall & at least 16" at the bottom & 2 of them were over 24"... GREAT fire wood.
he was tickled to death & it was great for me to have help & good interaction with the neighbor, not to mention thats 4 more big dead ash trees down!

about 20 more to go & then get onto the storm damaged other stuff!

only bad news was did have a log flip out of the bucket & land in the center of the hood. made a nice big dent & scratch. sigh. but we did buy this tractor to use.

it was gonna happen sooner or later.

We're getting our third nor'easter in 12 days - March Madness indeed

This is from the last one - I thought the porch roof would finally get cleaned off.
