OK I know its almost turkey day and people are out getting fixins. And I needed a couple things so I elected to run into wallyworld while I was doing so other running around,,, bless me Father! I always park my truck as far a way from the doors as I can, almost got hit 3 times before I got to the doors. Inside wasnt much better, I grabbed what I needed and split, got to the truck unscathed. I always check around before I pull out or back up, and since there were open spaces in front and beside me I opted to pull out, and here comes some clown blasts past me through 5 parking spots cuts me off and pulls into a parking spot 3 places up. There are days I really hate people

That is why you only go town when necessary and have accumulated a list of chores. It's not just the parking at the store, the people in the store, how about 8 people in line with two checkers? I just got home and done for the week!!

Know it's going to be frustrating and a pain in the azz, so only face that music once and get out!

I was there Sunday and overheard a guy talking, to I guess , his wife on the phone as he's walking in: "This is the last time I'm going in here until the holidays are over." He wasn't wrong.

I went to Costco this morning. For no good reason really. Arrived just at opening time. Only parking spot was a mile from the entrance...not literally....

It was absolutely crazy...I though they might need one way aisles...it was that bad.

Then I realized the reason...Thanksgiving two days away...

Must bring out the worst in us...or at least most of us. Did not bring me out but I was contributing anyway by being there...

My wife and I have taken to buying everything that we can online so we don't have to go to town and deal with the crowded stores and traffic. When we do have to go to any stores we always go during the middle of the week. It is less crowded that way.

I had a similar parking issue at CVS pharmacy today.

The I got into a full blown argument with the gal cashing me out at Kroger.

I picked up some last minute groceries for Thursday. Well she scans my groceries. I was still unloading the cart, so I didn't see the first few items listed.

But when she gave me the total I flipped out. It was just shy of $160 in groceries.

I told her there was no way I spent that much. Well she scanned up through the list so I could check, but refused to go to the first few items scanned 🧐🧐🧐🧐 Well I paid, got the receipt and flipped out.

There were 6 items totalling $70 that weren't in my cart. That I hadn't purchased.

So I asked the gal whose groceries are you trying to get me to pay for???? She says "what do you mean???.... you saved $5 with your Kroger card!!!" 😤😤😤

I said, well, I didn't buy any soda, I didn't grab any medications, or two bottles of listerene. So whose groceries did you charge me for???

So then I had to go to the service desk. Give them my receipt and have them unbag all my groceries and verify every item that I did purchase. And refund those items not in the cart 😕😕😕

Guess I'll start using the self checkout from now on.

Wife and I hit the Meijer and Wally World this morning around 10. Both were eerily empty. Ended up doing our daily walk in both since no one was there. Isles were clear too. Haven’t yet started setting out all the Black Friday crap. Nothing I need now that can’t wait till next Tuesday

Wife and I went there yesterday. The parking lot was nuts. Inside was like the highway at rush hour, but I remained calm and polite. We felt like...

Get in, get your shit and get out. Have a nice day....please come again.

We heaped two carts worth, as we go about every 3 months.

By the time we finished all our stops, the back of the truck had three 104qt ice chests full and the back seat (q cab) was packed solid to the roof.

I try to avoid Walmart as much as possible...the place is a total freakshow and there's the risk of a contact high from all the people who don't smoke weed while driving. Meijer is full of college kids buying beer and snacks so it's a much safer bet.

I braved Costco today. The same experience as yours. Unbelievably busy. I went to pick up some pies for Thanksgiving. They had the largest stack of pies I’ve ever seen and an employee was wheeling in another pallet full of them. Everyone I saw had at least 2 pies in their cart. I grabbed mine and got out of there as quickly as possible.
