.

So nobody in the States is staying home. Here is a screen grab from 1200 MDT showing all of the planes flying over the US.

Here is the link to flightradar24.

.

This is a little skewed. There are a few things to keep in mind:

1) There are a lot of flights that carry freight from carriers like UPS, FedEX, and USPS.

2) Some travel is essential and just because you are flying doesn't mean that you are going on vacation. For example, meat packing plants have huge amounts of equipment in them to make them operate. No matter how diligent the designers are or how much they try there is always some piece of essential equipment that is not supported by a local vendor. If too many food production plants go down then it would severely hurt the ability for supermarkets to stay stocked on essentials. So they have to get reps in to troubleshoot or repair these issues (even if there are spares on site).

3) (probably the biggest contributor) A lot of those flights may be empty or nearly empty. They still fly because it is cheaper to pay for the maintenance and fuel on an empty flight than to pay the fees that a lot of major air ports charge for planes being left at them. Keep in mind that air ports were designed to constantly rotate new planes in and old ones out so even though they are very large they do not necessarily have space to store the hundreds or thousands of planes that air companies have at their disposal.

There are going to be a lot of "stray cats" around

Oh, just a note of relevant numbers, Last season's (2018-2019) flu fatality total in the USA was a whopping 60 THOUSAND souls. Some accounts report 80K.

The SARS-COV-2 virus keeps some stiff company. The USA had over 23,000 deaths due to flu since last September prior to the SARS-CoV-2 arrival. I wonder if that number will disappear.

Keep that in perspective when reading today's stats.

Been hearing than younger folks are not heeding "stay at home" or "social distancing" as they should, and the AZ covid 19 data supports that.
Morons.
People from PA have been coming down in droves to WV. Why? Because PA shut down their liquor stores 2 weeks ago and the drunks are out of booze! WV Governor has now limited selling liquor to only WV residents.

Boy, there are going to be a lot of PA alcoholics getting the DT's before long.
I'll bet there is a thriving market for home brewing kits right now.

Well I have lot's of near beer in the fridge and now that it's legal here when I feel in the mood for something a little stronger I just I roll up a stiff one. I was very skeptical at first but it is great for stress and anxiety along with making pain more manageable. Can't see how anyone would suffer from stress or anxiety now these days.

Now with that out of the way what are we gonna be looking at when and if we get this under control? The amount of money being thrown at this problem by all countries is mind boggling. Then there's the unemployment factor. How can we as a world possibly continue to pay folks to stay at home unless we adapt and have more and more folks working from home. Really a win, win situation when it comes to air pollution. Already we are seeing a huge difference when you look at the graphs.

You really have to wonder if this is mother natures way of fighting back, maybe she's saying enough is enough. Yes in 1918 we took the worst hit ever IMHO however if we had of had the medical knowledge back then the outcome may have been far different. Now we are not only dealing with this damn virus but every year the storms seem to be growing in size and becoming far more frequent. When the storms (wild fires included) hit this year and I believe they've already begun who's gonna be there to help?

Remember now all this is JMHO so take it with a grain of salt and no I didn't smoke some before I wrote this, would have been far more long winded.:D . It's all open for discussion without getting into an argument just looking for other folks opinions. I really think that it would be great if we could take this nightmare that we're going through right now and turn it into something positive. Maybe if we come out of this a little less spoiled myself included. Maybe just slow down a little bit or even back things up a little bit. I was lucky enough to have grown up in the best of times, 60's and 70's. Things were laid back then. We had Woodstock, mini skirts and in my feeble mind the greatest muscle cars ever. Look forward to reading people's thoughts as to how this will turn out and what the world will look like 5 to 10 years from now. Above all, be safe my friends.;)

Kinda makes you wonder if animals are like a lot of humans that have the virus but are showing no symptoms? Our main focus right now has to be on a treatment or even better a cure for humans. I don't even want to think about switching teams and becoming a vegetarian.
Now the recommendation is if you COVID-19 is to isolate yourself from your animals too...
Well if I get it, I'll be living on the back 40 in a pup tent, without a pup!
Way too many others in the house!

Lol, when you think about it, may not be so bad. I suggest you grab a couple jars on your way out the door for medical purposes of course.;)
