I noticed that the clutch is not needed to go to high, mid or low range on my HST. Is this normal or do I have a problem? There was/is no grinding of gears or any kind of noise or resistance. The tractor was running at about 2000 rpm at the time.
Outstanding! Thank you for the quick reply.Clutch is for PTO
No problem there, I always have my foot off the HST pedal when I change ranges.Just make sure the HST pedal is in the neutral position before shifting range - the transmission must be fully unloaded for the range change to happen.
