I can't find the SHUT-OFF SOLENOID TIMER RELAY on my BX2200. Yes - I know what it looks like, and yes, I looked on the bulkhead under the dash next to the "blinker" relay where it's supposed to be. I also looked everywhere under the dash and everywhere on the bulkhead, under the dash and on the engine side. NUTTIN'
I tried to follow the wires from the shut-off solenoid, but lose them in a bigger harness that goes to the fuse block and ignition switch.
ANY IDEAS WOULD BE APPRECIATED.
I've owned the tractor since new (2001) so I know no one relocated it.

I think I replied to your post over at TBN.

The BX2200 does not have a fuel shutoff relay. The schematic is confusing if you do not realize it. The diagram covers the BX1800 and BX2200. BX1800 has the relay....

In case you are not the same guy as on TBN:

The bX2200 does not have a fuel shutoff relay. That is used on the BX1800. The BX2200 uses a solenoid on the side of the injection pump. That solenoid has two coils, one is the pull in coil, that is energized when the starter turns over, and the other is a hold coil that is energized when the key is on.

Note the D905 and D722 (I think, going from memory here) on the wiring diagram/schematic. Ignore the part designated D722 (or whatever the correct BX1800 engine number may be).

The diagram is certainly confusing if you do not understand they tried to combine two different units on one diagram.

Edit: The reason I know this is because my BX2200 fuel cutoff solenoid failed last summer...

Yes you did and THANK YOU. I reposted the question on two forums hoping to find someone who was familiar with the BX2200 issue.
Thank you again.

You are welcome. I know that circuit pretty well as I lived through the problem recently as I mentioned. Post additional questions if they come up, myself or others here will certainly try to help.

If you unplug the solenoid the starter will not turn over. The safety circuit passes through the starter and picks up the pull in coil of the solenoid. In my case the hold coil failed, and the fuse feeding it opened, and the tractor would start but immediately shut down when the key was moved from the start position.

An after market good quality replacement for the solenoid was roughly $30 off ebay or amazon, forget which. Has been working fine for six months now...

I am also new to this forum, I just purchased a BX2200 (2003) and a BX2200 "parts Tractor" that I am trying to get running. The wiring is really messed up on the parts tractor. Henro did clear up the no time delay relay, however the drawing also shows another solenoid "D722" from timer relay. Is that solenoid not used on the BX2200? Pasts tractor will run only when started motor is energized

The wiring diagram is confusing, as it show things for two models on one print. Ignore the stuff labled D722. That refers to the BX1800 model. Those parts are not found on the BX2200.

Thanks, - - Then the 15A fuse that you highlighted in the drawing appears to comes off a "hot" 12R wire on the battery. So that fuse is not there also, and the power then comes off the run point on main switch 14RW to lower fuse (not labeled), then 14RB to working light and 20RB to solenoid coil. Correct? The reason I am asking is the 20RB wire on coil is not connected right now. It appears that side of coil is bad and they disconnected it from somewhere. I have ordered a replacement

Apparently there are a couple versions of the BX2200, which have different wiring.

Check out this thread if you have not already.

If your BX2200 starter will turn over with the solenoid disconnected from the injector pump and hanging in the air, it sounds like you have a version with different wiring than mine. Also, if you plug connecting to the solenoid, has three wires, it is definitely different than mine, which has two wires...

Thanks to all for the help. Just for everybody's information. the 3 wire solenoid is realty strange. The one wire that comes from the "on" post doesn't energize the whole coil, that is done on the wire from the "starter" circuit. Once that pulls in the coil, the the other hot wire acts as a "holding" circuit.
On my 2003 model I found that the run wire goes to a 30 amp fuse, then down under the tractor to God only knows where or why. Then comes back up as a smaller 20ga RB to the coil. There is a dead short in that wire under the tractor! I rewired from the fuse direct to the 3rd wire on shut-off solenoid and tractor now runs great. I got a deal where I bought a used BX2200 with loader, belly mower, box blade and brush hog. When I went to pick it up the owner said I also have this other BX2200 that "runs" of the start circuit, but is missing the alternator, front drive shaft, and all the hood bonnet, and sides. You can have it for free if you can load it. That is the tractor I am currently working on.
If anybody has any of the hood parts for sale I would be interested.
