Take the right pressure system with good winds and the Hudson Valley makes for a nice alley from the Adirondacks down to NYC.Does anyone have an educated guess as to how one's elevation (I'm right at 1K feet, western MA) figures in to the degree of affect with regards to the smoke? When I look at pics of NYC it seems that the lower elevations may be getting whacked harder than I am, which is somewhat difficult to comprehend. Does the smoke 'settle' or rise or just ride prevailing winds? How about coastal regions compared to inland areas? TIA
