I figured a guy as rich as FLip would have a seat made of un-born lamb’s wool and gold-plated seat belt buckles... in his closed-cab.... and chinchilla-leather in his open-station...

I’m disappointed. May have to change my opinion about him....

I have a L3560 cab tractor.
Having a loader, the right door is pretty much unused. I want to mount cupholder(s) to the bar that runs at an angle that is used to pull the door shut.
Any of you found the perfect match?
Also interested in a phone mount for same tractor. Thinking the same mounting location may be suitable.
Would like to hear your suggestions.
Been studying handlebar mounts on ebay and amazon.
Hoping someone may have previous trial and error to share.
Thanks in advance

I tried that Flip, and usually it works just fine as I can’t hear it “ring” over the tractor noise but I can feel it “vibrate”. The problem I’ve run into is bending/twisting around I’ve had it work it’s way out of my pocket and fall. Fortunately it’s not been run-over (yet) and sometimes I’ve been known to wear a T-shirt with no pockets.

Of course, I’d have to come up with a new excuse to tell the wife as to why I need another new Crown-Royal bag.... ;)
I have a solution. I stream a radio station to my Bluetooth headphones from my phone. I keep the phone in a nylon phone pouch attached to my seat back. I don’t need to access the phone to answer and talk . I can do that from my headphones. The headphone set I use is called 3M work tunes.

I see yet another ratty seat. Kubota vinyl seats just don't hold up very well. I dislike vinyl seats anyway, makes your arse sweat. I'm a Cordura or cloth seat person 100%. I don't care for a sweaty butt.
I bought a cordura seat cover for my seat from Durafit. $45

Fascinating idea… I already own a 3M Work Tunes and had no idea it had a microphone. I’ll look into that. Thx for the idea.

Not all WorkTunes do - only the newer models. I purchased my WorkTunes probably in 2016 or 2017, Bluetooth and radio...no mic.
I prefer IsoTunes as an aside.

That ‘splains it…. I bought mine in 2014…from Northern Tool in the DFW area… it was on-sale (or mistakenly mis-priced) …normally $70~…. priced $15 so I couldn’t resist. I rarely use it….but this thread reminds me I should….even if only for hearing protection.

It is worth wearing the hearing protection if you're going to be operating for a long time, especially running an implement that is PTO driven at high throttle.

The 3M product is good but has flaws. One thing is your music volume gradually turns down on you against your will, and 3M notes this is to keep your hearing at OSHA-approved levels. After so much time, you 'aren't allowed' to hear music at a set amount of decibels. That annoys me. Another flaw is the material on the ear cups will gradually crack and break down with repeated exposure to sweat and/or rain. As someone who works outside swinging a trimmer in the hot sun for quite awhile on end, mine got both frequently sweaty and wet. They did last a few years before gradually falling apart. Also, the ear cup adjuster rods often break the plastic they adjust in, and even when new don't provide a lot of tension holding these things on your head.

The IsoTunes version addresses all these things, but the 3M has better, more intuitive controls and the battery life is better. Trade-offs, trade-offs.

When I’m mowing or plowing snow for hours, the headphones and music are nice. If I get a phone call, I can press the button on the headphone to answer and they have built in microphones. Mine are very clear sound and work well.

So far, my 3M work tunes have been holding up well. Maybe the newer version I have has been improved? The battery life is phenomenal.
